Only one thing is that Coop was very close to the hotel.

I would strongly advise people not to stay at this hotel during the summer, especially during a heatwave.
We stayed here during an orange weather warning for extreme heat, and the experience was completely unacceptable. The air conditioning was not working, and there was no fan available in the room either. This was particularly concerning for my autistic child, who also has eczema and can be very sensitive to heat.
We raised the issue with staff, and they eventually changed our room — but unfortunately, the second room also had no fan and the air conditioning was not available. We had to repeatedly ask before they finally provided us with a fan. The staff appeared reluctant to provide one, which made an already stressful situation even worse.
We were told/it appeared that the hotel had blocked or switched off the air conditioning throughout the property, despite the extreme heat. This is simply not acceptable when guests are paying to stay in a hotel, particularly during an official heatwave warning.
A hotel should prioritise the health, comfort and safety of its guests. Being left without functioning air conditioning or even a fan during extreme temperatures is completely unacceptable.
If you are considering staying here in the summer, I would seriously recommend choosing somewhere else. We had a terrible experience and would not stay here again

In der Hotelbeschreibung war eine Klimaanlage als Feature beschrieben. Diese wurde vom Hotel aber abgeschaltet und das Zimmer war viel zu warm, und das bei aktuellen Temperaturen über 30 Grad. Wir hatten das Hotel nur wegen der Klimaanlage gewählt. Auf den Hinweis, dass die Klimaanlage nicht funktioniert wurde nicht reagiert und behauptet, dass die Stadt Bern den Betrieb von Klimaanlagen in Hotels einschränken würde. Wir konnten keinerlei derartigen Hinweis auf offiziellen Kanälen der Stadt finden…
