Hotel Sherwood

Yeah everything was fine, the front desk person was very very helpful and nice

Great little hotel located on the beach. Clean w many dining options walking distance.

Place location it’s great right in front of the ocean, nice view at balcony rooms. We stay one night, we just got one towel and door needs more security can’t close manually from inside. Place had 24 hours security but I still like to close my room door.

The staff were great and very helpful but the hotel was old and dated with a musty smell in the room. The whole area seemed rather tired and scruffy. We had fabulous food at Bahia Food Market & Coffee Bar which was clean and modern.

My stay at Hotel Sherwood was amazing.The Sherwood family are very kind, warm and welcoming. My phone got wet during an excursion. They were so kind and gave me a big bag of rice, printed out a document for my data SIM and were understanding when I somehow lost my room key. As a woman solo traveler, I felt beyond safe and will definitely return. I’d also like to mention that the food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The property is located ideally. I was able to step outside to purchase a souvenir and walk less than a block for fresh fruit and to go to the bank. The AC was wonderful. The shower was hot and the TV adequate. Thank you for a great conclusion to my year Sherwood family!

TV was in closet so you had to choose which to use
Sheets were old and dingy
Mattress was old and stained; even after applying Lysol I was uncomfortable on it
No elevator and we were on the third floor; we’re seniors
Shower was clean
Room was clean
Dining service was EXTREMELY SLOW
Would not return

The parking it was not good sometime the light go away. I don’t light something It was a problem to get out the parking so I never go back again

I’m a very tough reviewer and usually only leave reviews when the places are bad so people can stay away. But this place and its staff… had to share the positive vibes.

Staff and Mr. Sherwood are awesome! Easy to speak with and very accommodating to guest needs! Food was great, location is amazing, you’re literally on the beach!!!! Great Place and people!

Everything ok

I stayed here on two different reservations in a short period of time. The staff is wonderful and chatted with many there. Food is very good and reasonable. Exchange money at a fair rate. Clean pool. The location is perfect, in Tela that alone is worth a lot. Rooms were cleaned well. Now in all honesty the property has some age/wear with some things that could be updated, etc but almost of all the hotels in Tela have this and for the price and location of the rooms, you should be very satisfied. I wouldn't hesitate to say here again and would be my first choice in Tela in the future and was much better than another hotel I stayed at with similar prices a few years ago in Tela.
