La Quinta Inn & Suites Dallas/Fair Park – Guest Complaint Timeline & Issues
Poor customer service experience upon check-in
Upon checking in, I immediately encountered a negative interaction with the initial front desk employee, Luke.
When I brought my concerns and room issues to his attention, I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously.
His tone and response came across as dismissive and unhelpful rather than focused on resolving the issues.
As a guest arriving for a paid stay, I expected professionalism, patience, and assistance, but instead I felt as though I was inconveniencing staff by reporting problems.
Issues with the initial room
The room 302 I was assigned had multiple issues that affected my ability to comfortably stay in the room.
I contacted the front desk and requested assistance rather than immediately leaving because I wanted to give the hotel an opportunity to correct the problems.
Maintenance was sent to address the concerns, but the issues were not properly resolved.
Escalation to management
Due to the unresolved problems, I spoke with the general manager, Mike.
I explained the issues I was experiencing and requested assistance.
I was eventually moved to another room 210 with the expectation that the replacement room would be fully functional.
Second room also had a major issue — non-functioning air conditioning
Immediately upon entering the second room, I noticed the room was extremely hot and humid.
The air conditioner was blowing very weak airflow and the air coming from the vent was not cold.
I lowered the thermostat to 60°F and waited approximately 5–10 minutes to allow the system time to cool.
The room remained uncomfortable and the A/C did not appear to be functioning properly.
Maintenance response to the A/C issue
I contacted the front desk again regarding the A/C problem.
Maintenance came to inspect the unit.
I explained that the room was humid, the airflow was weak, and the air was not cold.
Location was great, room was clean and comfortable
Was not aware pool was closed, would have not booked this hotel. The pool was green with a lot of slime built up in it. Asked the front desk about it and agent was very rude with a negative attitude. She said "well you are in Texas, where its hot and humid"
Clean and very nice room, nice staff.
It’s all nice. Breakfast is good!
Location was good
Blanket was dirty
