Comfy bed and clean room. Lovely hotel would definitely stay again.
Not enough parking for the volume of visitors. Had to pay £11 parking to park my car at Morrisons carpark on the JustPark app. Hotel advertised as free parking. Maybe that should be mentioned before booking.
The staff was very helpful, especially after the long journey I had to get to Chester. Laundry service was incredible, and the common areas were very relaxing. Great location. The room itself had a good layout, despite a small bathroom.
I visited during a heatwave, and there was zero ventilation to filter the hot air outside. In fact, the built in room thermostat said it was 27*c throughout much of my stay. The window hardly opened and the “fan” (I’m unsure what the device actually was) above the front door did very little. The heat was very dangerous and uncomfortable. Some form of protocol for heatwaves needs to be developed. Most of the other hotels I’ve visited have windows that open at the bottom of the window rather than the top, and usually more than 3 inches too. Moreover, the elevators would, on more than one occasion, not register when I pressed the button. I noticed this happened when the housekeepers were bringing towels and sheets downstairs for laundry; however, if this is why all access to both elevators were cut off, they also need to set up a better protocol here too. I also am unsure why the music in common areas was so loud; despite also having a bar, there weren’t a ton of patrons to warrant such loud music while I was trying to work on my laptop (remember, room’s too hot to work in).

We were given a room key for a room which was occupied. Luckily they werent there but it would have been distrubing for the other guests two persons walking in at half10 at night... the staff did come and check we got to our new room ok and were apologetic - but a bit embaressing..
Excellent all round from start to finish would definitely recommend and will certainly be staying again in the future
