Nice hotel and comfortable rooms.
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, including a full kitchen, dining table, and comfortable sitting area, which made it feel more like a small apartment than a standard hotel room. The bathroom was also large and well laid out.

The location was another big plus, with easy access to the freeway while still being quiet and convenient. We also appreciated the outdoor amenities, especially the fire pits, BBQ grills, and small pool, which provided a nice place to relax after a day of exploring. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and we would definitely consider staying here again.

Cons:

It is a little remote. It is surrounded by auto dealerships.

Very good but lacked hot tub
Pros:

The rooms were spacious and clean and the breakfast was very good. I didn’t realize they didn’t have a hot tub which was a disappointment as I assumed a hotel with a pool would have hot tub. We didn’t use the pool because the evenings were a bit chilly. Not sure why they didn’t install a hot tub.

Great except for the bogus $15 parking fee
Pros:

Breakfast was great.

Cons:

Didn’t like the $15 parking fee that was pulled out at the end. I’ve never seen that in 40 years of business or pleasure travel. Total BS. I’ll remember that $15 long after I’ve forgotten how nice the place was.

Hotel Quality Gone

TownePlace Suites San Luis Obispo. have stayed 2-3 times per year last 3 years. hotel has gone downhill. it is not a smoke-free property, smoking allowed now in dog area, pool, fire pit area (my wife complained to manager and was bullied/rudely rebuked). On check-in, no dishes found in cabinets. Search revealed they were in dishwasher, but no soap available to run. staff, particularly weekend morning manager, extremely rude. It is now party hotel; patrons allowed to blast music and run door to door, slamming as they go. Tried to complain to front desk Sunday about 10 pm, no one around to be found. shame...up until now this was a consistently great hotel.

Pros:

Location at SLO was great, with easy access to Highway 101 and SLO downtown. I liked the room size and facilities including the coin operated laundry. For foreign tourists, SLO is a relatively safe town with a few homeless around, but plenty of nice shops and cafes/restaurants. Hotel was in a safe location near a whole bunch of car dealers, with Target, Trader Joes nearby.

Cons:

The breakfast area gets crowded in the mornings especially when there are large groups or families there and the poor single staff had to work extra hard to top up food and drinks. Hot water is often not available at the breakfast area. The room ac was erratic, comes off and on at night. There were children unsupervised in the gym not using the equipment in a safe or proper manner.

Our room was located next to an exit door and so when people were coming in and out the door would slam each time, soft closed doors would be appreciated.
