Everything was perfect
The hidden deposit of 100$/night, I was really surprised.
Good hotel, clean, reasonably priced, small rooms (understandable given the price), good location (close to the beach, several restaurants nearby, a 10-minute walk from Publix or Target, and 3 km from the convention center).
Very nice pool -closed one day in the afternoon for private event-.

Sometimes the reception desk was unattended (during the day). You have to knock on the door next to it.
Be very cautious staying here...my experience resulted in two separate $500 smoking fees ($1,070 with tax) without any prior notice. We did not smoke in the room or anywhere on the property. We are lifelong non-smokers and are even willing to provide medical history if necessary.
From what I’ve learned, the hotel solely relies on REST air quality sensors to issue these charges. These sensors can be triggered by normal activities, even something like a hair dryer. Despite that, there was no room inspection, no physical evidence, no reported odor, and no communication during our stay, even though the system is designed to alert staff in real-time.
I attempted to resolve this with both the hotel and their management company (Highgate), but received inconsistent responses and no resolution. After further research, I found multiple other guests reporting the same mysterious $500 smoking fee just days after check-out.
Charging guests over $500 based solely on automated sensor data, with no human verification, and charging twice for what appears to be the same incident is unacceptable.
I am still working to have these $1,070 in charges removed. Until then (and even after then), I would strongly reconsider staying here.

Laura is the best bartender definitely ask for her. She’s amazing. Made the drinks so delicious. She’s super funny, such a vibe. Alika is hilarious i can’t say enough if you get a daybed, you definitely want her and yuliya as your server! Dariel, what a cool dude. He is so helpful. I cannot believe the service the team provides everyday. Rich is literally a tank, he carries more ice than an iceman.
Sunday funday and the moon is my favorite! I come to see my favorite bartender Laura! Yuliya and Alika are always so helpful at the tables. The service is amazing everytime we come
