Staffs were very curtious n helpful , Breakfast had a good spread .
It so happened that there was a marriage party the next day , it was a little loud .
The 2nd evening a couple of staff at the restaurant redeemed for the previous evening's disaster....thanks to Pankaj Bhist n Anshuman. The staff at the spa were good and we enjoyed the therapy we had chosen. Also, liked the Makaibari tea session. Since we are birders...we enjoyed our birding sessions around the estate.
On the first evening the moment we entered the restaurant the Manager on Duty Kaustuv tried to upsell us a dinner even before we could sit....we had paid for a half board. Post that some horrendous food was served since they didn't have a buffet going on. They had issues with water...since we are early risers to enjoy our birding sessions...after numerous contacts a bucket of water was sent the room...ideally should have been the first resolution till the issue was fixed....didn't feel like a premium Taj property at all....and too during the festive season....I just felt the staff are ill trained....as have never had such an experience at other Taj properties.
This hotel is gorgeous. The staff was impeccable. My room was amazing. The food was delicious!
L’emplacement très paisible, un personnel aux petit soins avec un sens aigu de l’hospitalité et du service et des chambres très confortables.
Tout était parfait
Views, comfort, serenity, peace, tea estate trail
The breakfast was very good. We also ate at the onsite restaurants. The food was good and had a good mix of local dishes and traditional well known cuisine. The location is also perfect. The morning views were absolutely stunning.
The in room snack bar could have a few more choices.
There are two disabled restrooms, one adjacent to lobby and one adjacent to restaurant.
Both are a shame to 5 stars hotel/resort.

The location
The staff has an extremely lackadaisical outlook. This reflects not just in service but the upkeep of the room. There was a continuous damp stink in our room that even our three year old couldn’t tolerate. We requested the staff time and again and after multiple requests a short term fix was provided that didn’t relay even for a day.
