Location was great. Friendly staff at reception and (paid) parking. Roof-top: entertaining and friendly, observant staff.
Rooms question of taste. Industrial design look. Not cozy and appealing. Minimalistic furniture, no wardrobe, just a ladder rack. No hangers for shirts or pants. Room clean, but air conditioning insufficient, could not handle the high humidity, bed-sheets damp and uncomfortable.
Morning coffee-bar a Joke.
We should have stayed at the Embassy Suites. Same price and free breakfast
Good location & comfortable beds
It was just a little tight on space but overall comfortable room
The Aloft in Wilmington, North Carolina, was a great find. It features nice, spacious rooms, terrific and friendly hospitality at the front desk, and a beautifully designed lobby in an old historic warehouse adjacent to the new hotel tower. I loved that you could park your car right at the front door and walk into the lobby. Parking rates are substantially lower than those at surrounding hotels.
They also offer a valet option, but I’m not sure what the point of that is, given the easy self-parking right by the door. The location is fantastic and walkable to everywhere within the downtown area along the river, with several great restaurants and shops nearby.
The hotel boasts a restaurant and bar on the lobby level, as well as a rooftop bar with spectacular views of the river and the Battleship North Carolina. The friendly bartenders serve great cocktails and appetizers. The beds and amenities were fantastic, and I particularly liked the Drybar brand shampoo and conditioner—something I had never seen before.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend it!
The location was great.
There were several things that were broken in the room. The toilet seat came off in my hand. The silicone strip on the shower door was hanging off and the shower gel pump didn’t work.
The location and views were very nice. The shower and especially the shower head was wonderful.
Paying to park is an overcharge. Hotels in good locations already cost more. We were initially given room 424. The door to the balcony cut my husband's finger (front staff seemed already aware that door room was a problem). The room was not cleaned properly (toilet seat had someone else's dried pee all over it. Then we moved to 324 (balcony door better) but the fridge was apparently unplugged the whole time and caused a puddle of water from the defrost - which is not safe. Overall it seems these rooms were not inspected before given to guests.
Amazing view a location.
The staff at the front desk, Natasha and Sami were outstanding and made you feel welcomed. The rooms were great, CLEAN and updated. The rooftop bar had good food and good service. The hotel is very close to everything. We had a great experience here. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!
The location was perfect and the staff was friendly
Nothing
Our favorite hotel to stay at in the Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach area. The location is great. Rooms are pretty spacious. Very cute lobby area with lots to see and do for kids/familie, couples too. Beautiful rooftop restaurant. The coffee, oatmeal and bagels at the cafe downstairs are fantastic. Lawrence, Sammi (hopefully I spelled correctly) and the rest of the team made our stay amazing. We can’t wait to be back.
Holly, Rober & Elliott.
Met work visitors on the rooftop for drinks and dinner. Maddox was great at the parking lot very helpful and polite and ensured I knew where to go.
Paul at the valet stand was exceptional. Extremely friendly and helpful. Had the best energy and kindest attitude. He had our car outside as soon as we pulled up, helped open our doors and put our luggage away. Give him a raise!!!
