Pros:

Simple 3* hotel near the beach (70m) with really nice employees. Air-conditioning for free in the room,fridge as well. Recommended for location. Enough for the price :) large beer around 3-3,5 euro. They speak english

1-star hotel which can guarantee you unpleasant stay in Paralia Katerinis...
Pros:

September 2015 we made a last minute reservation for 3-nights stay in this pitty hotel.

We went with a travel agency, so that we were part of group accommodation with breakfast and dinner included.

I can say that the hotel staff (and mostly the Kitchen team) treated us as group of pigs... Every 6 single meals (3 breakfasts and 3 dinners) the buffet menu was the same:
- we were served 2-3 types of strange salads (combination of old vegetables and potatoes) and in case there is left salad from the previous meal - it was served again on the next one
- every dinner they gave us as a main course plate with meat with rise/potatoes WITH CURRY (no choice available!). Once we asked if there is a different main course, because we don't eat curry - we were said that this is the favourite spice of the main chef and there is no other option!
- no fresh fruits at all, no desserts (there was only one dessert - some cake made only with flour and sugar).
We just give up to argue any longer with the waitress and preffered to eat in other restaurants outside during the end of our holiday (There are cheap buffet-Restaurants, part of other hotels, which are offering for approx. 8-10 Euro/per person/dinner).

The lady, who served us during the whole stay plays a role of waitress, receptionist etc. - she demonstrated rude behaviour all the time. She just doesn't care how the guests are feeling, I suppose...

The rooms are with old furniture, there were some broken items in room and bathroom, which makes the whole perception of the place, quite depressing.

About Paralia Katerini - I can say that there are much nicer resorts in Greece. The town and the beach were overcrowded by people. Most of the shops where second-hand or Chinesse, which leaves you a feeling of visiting one cheap and shady place.

The rates in resort are approximately affordable - for restaurants, bars and souvenir shops, so that was one of the few positive feedback I can give.

In conclusion - in case you choose to visit Paralia Katerini for your summer holiday - choose any other hotel but not hotel Posseidon!
