Pros:

We had a very pleasant stay at Mercure Auckland Queen Street. The room was modern, clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location was convenient, with easy access to the city and nearby restaurants.

Cons:

The only downside was the check-in experience with the car park, as there were only a few spaces available for arriving guests, which made it a little inconvenient. The limited number of short-term spaces for check-in made arrival a little stressful, and the parking process wasn't as straightforward as expected. Once everything was sorted, however, the rest of our stay was excellent.

Disappointing and won t be back
Pros:

The location was excellent

Cons:

The daily service was poor, bedsheets had stains and we had to ask at reception to receive toilet paper as we only had 1 roll on arrival and it was not topped up. The soap dispenser were dirty and stains on the wall/floor.We booked because the hotel offers a gym however when asked we just got told the gym is out of order for at least another month. No apology no mention when it was booked. Overall disappointing 😞 and we won t stay here again.

Pros:

This Hotel is very Good for the price! On queen street, quiet die to double glazing and newer building. The rooms have generous size bathrooms with good shower. The basic amenities coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc and decent body wash, shampoo and conditioner and lotion. The rooms were modern and stylish. Fantastic lighting in rooms.

Cons:

Our room had clearly had some dirty people in previous to us. There was food smeared on the remote for tv, under coffee table and on aircon controls. Among other deep cleaning that may be required. Spoke to reception who had amazing complaint resolution so very happy with that. Indefinalty wouldnt say that it was a unclean hotel it was just our room and these werent obvious things.

Another issue i found is its not a very accessible hotel. From the carpark to the room you either had to go up or down a flight of stairs. Nor were there any luggage trollys at reception. We were travelling with a baby so had alot of things incl our own bassenette, my partner had to do maultipul trips to the room and car going through four doors and elevator just to get to our room with his hands full. Possibly invest in a luggage trolly please team. Would stay again and recommend, but only without little kids.
