Hotel Shalimar

Except location everything. the Guest Lobby was all dirty and dusty. The elevators were dirty with stains dirt lingering on the buttons.
The floor was dirty with dust housing itself on the paintings sofas and even the on the false ceiling. Ceiling lights were damaged and hanging out of there sockets. The room which we paid for a fortune, was dirty with used dirty bedsheets and smelly blankets. Broken washroom accessories and faucet. Cockroaches lingering around the washroom.
We had to waste a solid 3 hours for the house keeping staff to come and clean our while room before we could settle in.
The reception staff total lazy and working there as if they are not paid at all. The concierge rude. Only the waiter at the breakfast was lively and one housekeeping staff. Rest all the staff treated us as if we were staying there for free. And they said the hotel is under renovation, if under renovation then why operate it with full price. And being under renovation does not give any staff license of being lazy, rude or function off the policy.

Everything about this place. Bathrooms were dirty, disgusting and literally not even flushed. The mattress and the sheets were stained. I would not want my worst enemy to stay here. Literally wasted my money.

The furniture and the facilities were old and not very clean

The room was so different from what shown on the Web after booking. No choice to change it. Only 1 small towel in bathroom for 2 guests. AC remote was not allowed for guests so once it is on you cannot change the temperature or turn it off.
The so called buffet breakfast was formality. Just keep waiting for the refill, even tea.

Location is ok. But everything else about this hotel was horrible. The staff were rude and tried to rip me off. Had to be moved twice because the A/C was not working.
Whilst having a shower, the water stopped and didn't return after 15 mins.
Staff didn't out of courtesy even.give us a free breakfast or make up some way.
They charged me full price of two rooms, kept the extra 2000 rupees I gave them and never returned it.

Prices, reception staff behaviour, facilities, room cleanliness, furniture, washroom accessories.

Can you imagine, for a couple they only offered 1 small towel.
And with the water bottle, they offered 1 glass. They have stains on their bed sheets & pillow cases, the blanket was for only 1 person.
They only extra arrangement I asked for is 2 extra pillows, which even they promised but didn't provided.

At the time of check out they charged me 15% extra of original amount. On the name of GST. As when I was doing the booking I saw the price was included with GST.

They're robbers, a waste of money to be there.
Rhey have to be behind bars.

It's not clean, no good washroom, bed is very old and damaged, staff is good but over all this hotel is very bad.

The TV didn't work, the bathroom could be a bit more cleaner.
