Best hotel on the best Greek Island
Pros:

This hotel combined with the island of Symi were the highlight of our 6 week holiday.
We stayed 3 nights but could have easily been 5 or even a couple of weeks!
Even though Symi does get day trippers from the island of Rhodes its not in the number that could potentially overrun the place. Symi is far quieter than Rhodes.
The 1900 Hotel is just beautiful. The Manager was very accommodating and helpful when asked.
The room was large and very tastefully painted and decorated. The bathroom was fabulous.
We stayed in the upstairs blue room which is just across from the upstairs terrace. Although the area could have been better used if there had been a couple of market umbrellas we enjoyed our time in the afternoons here. It is a great place to take in the views of the colourful harbour. Rightfully voted one of the prettiest harbours in the world. There were a couple of dead plants that should be removed but they didn't negatively impact our overall experience. This space could be stunning with a few well placed large potted plants (it would cool the space), some festoon lighting above and a couple of small tables. We would have loved to enjoy the odd Charcuterie board up here with a beer or Gin or 6!
Lovely snacks are left each day in the downstairs drawing room. This space also has tea and coffee making facilities. A little bar area here may have given more chance of interacting with other guests as everyone came and went each afternoon.
