From the moment I arrived, my experience at Hotel Casa Don Luis was nothing short of exceptional. Perfectly located within the Walled City, it made exploring Cartagena effortless while still feeling like a peaceful, private escape.
The hotel itself is stunning. The architecture beautifully blends colonial charm with modern elegance, creating a space that feels both luxurious and intimate. Every detail feels intentional, and the cleanliness throughout the property was impeccable.
What truly elevated the experience was the service. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our stay special. Their hospitality made everything feel personal and welcoming.
We originally booked one room with two queen beds, but upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to two separate suites, each with a king bed. It was such an unexpected and generous gesture that immediately set the tone for the entire stay. The suites were spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city.
Mornings were another highlight thanks to the breakfast. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and offered a great mix of local and international options, all enjoyed in a beautiful setting.
The rooftop was the perfect place to unwind, whether lounging by the pool or taking in the views of the city. The entire property has a calm, refined energy that makes it feel like a hidden oasis in the middle of Cartagena.
Very pleasant stay, very helpful and friendly staff especially Jairo!! Also Eduardo helped us booking two activities, cartagena tour and really pleasant and exclusive trip to one of the Rosario islands. Breakfast buffet very nice also there very helpful friendly staff! Jacuzzi on the 5th floor very relaxing. Next trip to Cartagena we will go back to this hotel again!
Our stay was too short..
Located in the historical part of the town, this hotel is wonderful. The staff was always willing to meet our every wish. To a man/woman we felt that the staff was always willing to grant our every wish and always go the extra mile. The daily breakfast excellent, replete with an array of fruits, juices, yogurt, eggs cooked to order, and traditional Colombian staples----a good way to start your day.
