Liked the location and access to restaurants and shops
I was not told that my room was a block from the hotel and that I had to walk up a flight of stairs with my suitcase and laptop. One of the hotel staff helped me but it was disappointing as I wanted to stay at the main hotel.
Stay here…the place is amazing! I would stay here again! Every person that works here is so helpful. The rooms are spacious and very roomy! The grounds are gorgeous and close to anything you need
Wonderful stay at the Drey Hotel. The hotel is beautiful and welcoming, but Bell Captain Lance Lashley truly stood out. He went above and beyond with exceptional service, professionalism, and genuine kindness. His attention to detail made our stay feel extra special.
The Drey is one of our go-to hotels in Dallas. We love everything about it. We are especially thankful for the service of the Bell Captian, Lance. He was wonderful and attentive from the time we pulled up and throughout our stay. He has a pleasant and friendly demeanor and a heart for service. We would come back just because of him alone. Lance is an asset to The Drey and helps guest's feel at home during their stay.
Wife and I stayed December 20, 2025. It truly was a five-star experience that went far beyond casual courtesies and graciousness. I remember Bell Captain Lance Lashley and front desk worker Richard, but there were so many employees we met on arrival their names escape me. All were fantastic. This hotel was fantastic. I would stay here again.
We had a great experience. Friendliest staff I have ever come across, Lance Lashley, the bell captain made us feel cared for from the start. It's in a great location across from North Park Mall and there is a coffee shop across the court yard. I would definitely recommend.
If you are in the Village area in Dallas do not hesitate to stay at the Drey! Business or leisure you will not be disappointed. They treat you like family. The ammenities are impeccable and I am never disappointed. Very clean rooms and appointed very well. Just GO!
I like the beauty of the place the locality and the staff was most excellent and incredibly helpful
I just wish I could’ve stayed longer
Hats off to all the Drey Hotel Staff for all you did in making an incredible celebration weekend for our family! 31 family members stayed at the hotel for the weekend and took advantage of the incredible amenities hotel guests are afforded. All the staff had a positive can do attitude and were very professional, helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. Devin, in Event Sales, was outstanding. She magically helped us organize a fun buffet lunch and event at the Sandy Pickle and a delicious family style dinner in the gorgeous Anise Dining Room. Luke, manager at the Sandy Pickle, and his excellent staff made our play day with the pickleball & volleyball courts, ping pong, corn hole, giant jenga, AV help, golf simulator, and putting green, fun for our entire family that ranged from 10 months old to the 99 year old birthday girl. Shenell, the Drey front desk manager, and her staff were outstanding too. Monica was so very helpful and patient making reservations for 15 rooms and along with Bridget and Richard made the stay with family the best. Lance and Bray, guest services bell captain & valet, were also very accommodating. Drew, GM of the Village Country Club, helped us with Friday night dinner reservations and Sunday brunch reservations. The VCC worked out well for our large group. Garrett, the server, was excellent. He kept a very professional, upbeat and positive attitude as he served our large group with a smile both nights.
Our family enjoyed the big lawn for a family kickball game and loved the heated hot tub and lap pool. The 1 mile walking path was enjoyed. The Buzz and Bustle coffee shop worked well for the family to get breakfast on their own schedule. The huge gym is fantastic....not sure family had time to enjoy it.
I highly recommend staying at the Drey. It was perfect for our family celebration.
We had a terrific experience over our 5 night stay during Thanksgiving week. The whole staff was great. Special shout out to Lance & Bray for all their asssitance.
Stayed here three times. Love it. Won’t stay anywhere else.
The Drey sits in the heart of The Village, a massive neighborhood-style apartment community made up of walkable streets, parks, restaurants, and shops. It feels like its own little town inside Dallas. The hotel anchors it all and gives guests the same sense of belonging that the residents enjoy. Free parking, too, which is rare and appreciated.
Every stay has been consistent. On two occasions, we booked a room with two queens. Both times, the room felt huge, bright, and comfortable. The beds were shockingly good. I normally sleep a couple hours at most if the mattress isn’t right, and here I actually slept. Plenty of space to spread out at the desk and long counter, and more than enough outlets to charge phones, laptops, and whatever else we brought with us. The bathroom was roomy with two sinks and a separate space for the shower and toilet, which made mornings easy.
On our most recent trip, we ended up with a corner king. Great room. The balcony overlooked the activity in front of the hotel, and it was fun watching the flow of people heading to coffee, the pool, or the lake.
Housekeeping deserves a mention. They were excellent and almost invisible in the best way. Some hotels feel cluttered with carts and noise in the hallways. Not here. The staff kept everything spotless without getting in the way or disrupting anything. It felt quietly efficient and very polished.
Bridget, at the Front Desk, was there with fresh bottles of water everytime we walked by and a smile. She joined us one night as we sat in the very comfortable lobby area over near the fireplace. It was a quiet Sunday night and we had a great conversation about the hotel and our visit to Dallas. The next day, after we checked out and needed to wait two hours for our flight out of Love Field, Lance, the Bell Captain, spent some time with us. Making sure that we were comfortable and taken care of, even after check out.
The Village makes this hotel more than a place to sleep. It’s a whole environment. A quick walk outside brings you to:
Buzz and Bustle - A coffee shop and convenience store right next door. Excellent lattes, baked goods, sandwiches, and plenty of comfortable spots indoors and outside. You see a mix of residents and guests grabbing coffee or using the wifi, and it feels like a friendly neighborhood spot.
Village Country Club - A pleasant surprise. The menu is small, but everything tasted good and the service was solid. Friday nights mean all you can eat spaghetti, meatballs, and salad. Sundays mean brunch that is absolutely worth the walk.
Over/Under Sports Bar - Good pizza, big TVs, and an easy place to hang out if you want to catch a game.
Sandy Pickle Courts and Bar - Didn’t play, but it was packed every night. Clearly a favorite hangout for residents.
Pool - Huge. One of the main reasons people choose The Village. Families, couples, groups of friends, everyone gravitates there. It can get a little loud on the weekends during the season, but it looks like fun.
Fitness Center - A two story setup with everything you need. Not a token gym. You can actually get a real workout.
Anise featuring Kyo Sushi & Omakase - This is the sushi restaurant inside The Drey lobby. Very popular, and tough to get a spot during peak hours. Excellent addition to the property.
Meridian - A newer fine dining spot in The Village. Looks fantastic and not overpriced. We didn’t try it, but it will be on the list next time.
Nearby area to explore - The Lake - A perfect place for a long walk. Peaceful, pretty, and a nice break from the city energy. It is well landscaped, clean, and a lot of residents walk and jog along the paths. Good place to clear your head.
Other - There is always something happening here. Events, themed weekends, outdoor gatherings. We were there for Halloween weekend and the street party looked like an absolute blast. Music, costumes, lights, the whole thing felt lively and safe.
Bottom line - this hotel keeps getting it right. The rooms, the amenities, the setting, and especially the people. We will definitely stay here again.
The hotel is new, staff is very friendly and helpful and the resort offers great amenities that are quick and easy to get to. I used several, including the coffee shop, pool, restaurants, and country club. A great, lively place to stay. Feels like a santuary in the middle of the city.
Excellent hotel! Rooms are spacious and beautiful bathroom and vanity. Our valet, Lance, is great! Always cheerful giving us excellent service with our car. Beautiful pools! We will be back!
Lance goes above and beyond to answer questions, help with any needs, and always has a great attitude and smile! Made our incredible experience even better!
Hotel and staff are lovely. So accommodating and service oriented! We joked that they must have mistaken us for someone famous. Room was great---good lighting, nice towels and linens, luxury amenities. Enjoyed a glass of wine in front of the fireplace downstairs after dinner at beautiful new restaurant, Meridian, next door. Coffee shop next door for morning coffee and the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had.
Everything about this hotel was beyond amazing!! Lance was there for anything we needed and was extra accommodating ! Everyone we encournteed throughout or stay was nice and cheerful! The rooms were so comfortable we didn’t want to leave! And it never got hot in the middle of the night.
The hotel smells amazing too!
The area was perfect and we walked to where we needed to go.
The newly opened Meridian served the best drinks and the atmosphere was fun and lively and not too loud.
The Drey is a gorgeous, incredibly convenient property with outstanding staff that provides the same level of service one might expect at a 4-star hotel (Ritz Carlton, JW Marriott). Lance, their Bell Captain is such a terrific resource. I truly enjoy my stay at The Drey and would highly recommend staying at this property.
