We are a family of 2 adults and two children (4 and 0,5) and our room was 233.
Positive (+):
The friendly staff.
Big room.
Cleaning of the room.
Breakfast.
Clear blue water.
Elena and Valentina were good with the children.
The relax pool which few people use.
Not so many people use the big pool in the morning.
Less good:
The room door didn't keep the sound outside and you could easily hear when people where walking and talking in the corridor when passing.
Lunch and dinner: Some days the food was good and many time the food didn't taste so much. Even if it looks like there is a lot of food to choose from, they put the same food on different plates to make it look like there is more to choose from. I think they have four plates for one dish.
The big pool is also used for aqua gym and other activities which makes it a bit crowded sometimes.
5 min walk to the beach (you have to leave the facilities and cross the street).
A lot of people queue in the morning to get to the sunbeds early (the beach "opens" at 09:00).
There are a lot of algae in the sea.
AC didn't work correctly the first day.
The AC ventilation broke and had to be fixed = no AC for 1-2h.
The AC doesn't reach the whole room. A difference of 2-3 degrees difference.
No keys to lock the toilet doors in the lobby and close to the breakfast restaurant. I asked the staff, and they said that the owner has chosen it like that. Meaning, than anybody can open your door while you are doing you business.
It gets very loud in both restaurants since there are no paintings, curtains or something in the room to absorb the sound that is made by all the clients and staff.
The gym is accessible 24/7. Our room is above the gym and we could one night hear the person working out at 23:00.
Small refrigerator without freezer.
You can upgrade your stay by paying extra. This gives you the same table every day and sunbed that are closer to the beach. The stay is already expensive.
We stood in line for 10-15 min for a balloon and face painting. But since there were too many kids, the staff (Elena and Valentina) didn't have time for all of the kids in line. The staff prioritized to do the club song instead of taking care of the children who were standing in line. There were already staff doing the singing and dancing so there were no need for these two to join. They should have continued to take care of the children that were in line. Since they didn't have time for my 4 year-old daughter, this made her sad and she later started to cry.
The IKEA furniture to store your clothes in are not fixed to the walls and can therefore fall over the child if it chooses to start climbing on it. Children in the US have already died due to this and therefore IKEA have made it very clear that it needs to be fixed to the wall. That was not only for our room but also in room 234.
The room is to close to the stage, so you can hear the music in the evening.
In the restaurants, the chairs, tables and baby chairs are poorly cleaned.
Futura has great potential, we really enjoyed our stay but there are certain things that hotel management can improve.
Staff - Staff was absolutely amazing, very friendly people, we felt really welcomed by them. I will later mention some needed improvements but it is not connected to the staff, people working there are doing their job well.
Cleaning and rooms - Hotel was very clean, we were satisfied. Rooms are very pretty - big closet, nice bathroom, comfortable bed, big balcony.
Beach - Most beautiful beach in the area. There was crystal clear water, nice rocks, white sand. Just perfect. The beach was cleaned. There was also very lovely pool area including whirpools.
Food - There was not such wide range of food as we are used to have in 4*hotels but I think it is unfair to evaluate this during Covid restrictions. The staff was doing their best and we always find meals that we like. The food was very tasty and the staff of restaurant was very friendly. Drinks are served on the beach, lobby and at the pool. The barmans at the pool area are very nice and friendly people, we really like cocktails that were served there.
Service and animation - We really appreciate that hotel offered trips to us and there was a stand where you can rent a car. If we had some problem, the receptionist always tried their best to solve it. Animators were very friendly, there was a lot of sport activities for guests and also night show.
In our personal opinion the hotel has great potentional, but there are some improvements needed:
- Guests arriving at morning have to get room between 11-14h. Firstly we were told that we will receive our room at 17:00. We had really long trip and you do not want to wait for so long. Receptionist kindly get a room for us at 14:00 but it is worlwide standard, every guest arriving at morning should get a room until 14:00.
Hotel pay card - Every customer should receive their card immediately after arrival to be able to get paid drinks and snacks. We got our card next day after arrival, so we could not get a coffee (cash is not accepted at the hotel bar).
Sometimes the card does not work, so we had to go to the reception to solve it. If you do not accept cash at the hotel bar, you have to make sure that the cards work as they should.
With these little improvements you can be just perfect. We really liked our stay and we can recommend it to other visitors.
