Amethyst Hotel, Oia – A Serene Santorini Escape!!

Our stay at the Amethyst Hotel in Oia was nothing short of spectacular. This boutique resort offers stunning panoramic views of the western tip of Santorini, with its idyllic setting perfectly capturing the charm of the island. Located just a short walk from the iconic blue domes, sunset viewpoints, restaurants, and shopping in Oia, it’s an ideal base for exploring the area.

We arrived via ferry and found the hotel to be about a 25–30 minute drive from the port. Renting a car was a great decision, as it made getting around the island incredibly convenient. The hotel has ample parking, and we had no trouble finding spots in both Oia and Fira.

The atmosphere at the hotel is peaceful and relaxing. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, including early and late check-ins. The on-site restaurant offers a wide variety of food and drink options, and the large sea-view pool was an absolute highlight—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.

Highly recommend the Amethyst Hotel for anyone looking for a serene yet well-connected Santorini getaway.

J'ai abosulement adorer notre expérience à cette hotel! Non seulement la chambre que nous avions recu étais magnifique, situé mais près de Oia a 5 minute de voiture qui un indispensables pour etre la car a lautre extrémités de l'île. l'extérieur était tellement beau. J'ai bu le meilleur café au monde au bar déjeuner et en plus, le personel est très gentil et nous a donner des directions que nous avions besoin et quelque suggestion. Si j'étais pour revenir à Santorini, je choisirais Amethyst!

I did not stay in this hotel and had to book at another hotel as the room was a cave without any windows. Th pictures were misleading and I am in discussion with them for a full refund which currently they have declined

I enjoyed the staff immensely. Niko made great cocktails. Naeem was great with breakfast. Ali kept the place great. and Maria was always smiling and helping with any of our requests. I feel like the hotel is only as good as the people and they were a great group of people.

Nous avons passé juste une nuit dans cette hébergement (de passage sur Oia) je vais commencer par le côté possible, l’extérieur est magnifique comme sur les photos belle piscine bar très propre et jolie et un petit déjeuner compris, la literie était plutôt agréable cependant la chambre c’est une catastrophe pas de fenêtre pas d’isolation du coup si le voisin prend une douche ou allume la lumière par exemple vous entendrez tout, la télé ne fonctionne pas (juste le son) pas de bouteille d’eau offerte, l’évacuation de la douche ne fonctionne pas bien, la porte de la chambre ne ferme pas ou avec difficulté. Pas de jus d’orange pour le petit déjeuner pas non plus de fruits frais et café immonde. Dommage Hotel à améliorer.

La struttura è in una campagna ma si paga come fosse un pieno centro, prezzo assolutamente inadeguato per una camera al piano interrato dell’edificio con doccia e lavandino che diventano un lago perché gli scarichi non funzionano. Senza finestre e balconi, se non un finestrino alto nel bagno e porta d’ingresso con pannello cieco, con conseguente puzza di umido degli ambienti. Bella la zona piscina ma i teli che davano in dotazione dubito erano lavati ad ogni utilizzo perché maleodoranti e macchiati. Non la consiglio nella maniera più assoluta!

This place was absolutely stunning. My family and I had a great experience from the moment we checked in until the final day of our stay. Everyone on property were very helpful from the housekeeping lady to Dimitri. On the day of heading to the airport, we weren’t able to get a taxi so the owner of the property made that happen for us and gave us a ride. Will definitely be back.

The most we like is the staff very friendly. The pool also gets maintained well. The only issue is the shower water couldn't drain away completely, well although it is not a big issue for us.

Hospitality at this hotel was absolutely amazing, very attentive to all your needs! The pool area was stunning and relaxing

Rented an ATV from the hotel as well, recommend this as an easy way to explore the island. Right outside of Oia which makes it a perfect relaxing spot.

Would stay here again!
