First and foremost the staff was amazing that’s what makes a resort unique kudos and great service by Eva in the reception Dora in charge of the hygiene and cleanliness of the resort and Thea the one who’s in charge of the breakfast and the bar pool service what a wonderful staff congratulations to all of them
First of all, I have to say the service was excellent and the villa itself was truly beautiful.
If you’re planning to stay mainly at the hotel, it’s a great choice.
However, the road to get there is quite difficult — it’s up in the mountains and very steep. You absolutely need to rent an SUV if you plan to drive, because a regular car may not be strong enough. We didn’t realize how steep it would be, and it turned out to be a bit dangerous.
Also, at night the road is pitch black, with no lighting and lots of sharp turns, so it’s definitely not for nervous drivers.
I believe this is something that should really be mentioned in the villa’s description.
Other than that, the food is basic and quite expensive… but that’s pretty typical for Santorini in general.
Thank you for your kindness !
Bad experience. In the middle of nowhere. If you stay here you need a car to go anywhere. They charge 30 euros per way to go to the town. “40 euros if you dare pass midnight”
WiFi service is very bad, and there’s no mobile phone signal. Don’t you dare telling them WiFi doesn’t work. The blond girl at the reception will discuss it even though everybody in the room checked it for hours.
Super expensive for the service they provide. They have an excuse and start an argument for every request.
Air conditions are behind the curtains blocking the air coming out.
“Jacuzzi” in the room has almost no power. It just looks nice in the apartment.
No lactose free or non dairy products for breakfast.
The “famous” view from the pool is almost zero.
Don’t hire their transfer, it’s more expensive than anything you’ll find on the internet. And he decides to change his fees making new rules never mentioned before.
The umbrella by the pool was broken when we’ve got the room and of course we never touched them. We were blamed for opening it and broke it because it was windy. Even threaten us to charge a “damage fee” in case it breaks “again”.
I am extremely disappointed in my stay. Everything initially was good. However, during the evening hours the AC unit began making loud vibrating noises throughout the entire night. Every 2 mins to be exact. We were told by the staff, they will be closing and leaving for the night at 8:30pm. And while they did leave me a card with an emergency number, I assumed that was only during operating hours and instead sent them a message to inform them of the issue at midnight. The noise continued throughout the night and it was our last night during our honeymoon - we did not get any sleep. We had a 6am flight and left before they opened so I sent another message to the staff at 5am advising of what happened along with video recordings. They not only said nothing was wrong with it even though I sent 4 videos of the noises but the manager refused to accommodate for anything. They advised I should’ve contacted them for the emergency and it would’ve been taken care of. I understand but feel extremely disappointed in the lack of accountability for my uncomfortable stay on my last night of honeymoon along with hours of back and forth with their team that got nowhere. It took several hours of messaging back and forth before any formal apology for the experience. And it wasn’t until the conversation with the staff where I felt so frustrated to request some partial refund for the experience. But again, hours until I received a notice and advised they wished me well.
This was the absolute worst experience. So bad in fact that we checked out from our 3 night stay after only one night.
We had an amazing stay at Oyster Luxury suites. We stayed in a superior suite and it was just perfect amount of space, very comfortable and super clean, we loved the outdoor area and plunge pool which is heated and also enjoyed the main pool, although this one is not heated but great to cool off in 😀 breakfast brought to your suite daily at a time you choose was also a treat and the terrace is a great spot to watch the beautiful sun rises.
The hotel is on the east side of the Island so is much quieter than the west side however, we really liked having the option of going to the west side and being in the hustle and bustle of all the tourist areas and then being able to return to the hotel for some peace, relaxation and quiet.
The hotel has a cafe that operates from 11-4 serving sandwiches, wraps, burgers and pizza and the bar serves drinks until 8pm. There is no restaurant onsite so if you want to eat in the evening you have to go to the main west area or the hotel has partnered with a local restaurant Caper, where you can order online and get it delivered straight to your suite. We had a couple of meals from there and service and food were really great.
All of the staff were amazing and could not have been more attentive and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We did decide not to hire a car or ATV as the driving in Santorini is rather crazy and used the taxis that the hotel organised which was absolutely fine and worked out around the same price in total.
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a total of 3 days and we both agree that our stay here was amazing! The views are beautiful, the pool in our suite was warm, and the staff were lovely. Check-in was super quick and easy. The hotel offers car/quad rentals to be delivered on-site if you choose to do so. FYI, our quad rental was about 153 euros before tax for 3 days with no hidden fees. The hotel has plenty of room for parking being that the hotel only has 7 suites. Fira (downtown) was about 15 mins driving meanwhile the drive to Oía was about 30 mins. Overall, our stay here was above our expectations. The best part was waking up to the beautiful sunrise and having breakfast delivered to our suite.
The best customer service I have experienced in all of my travels! The facilities are excellent, food and drinks are excellent. I did find it farther than expected from Imerovigli We could not have enjoyed the stay without a rental car (which luckily we had arranged). They do provide transportation however it was $30 each way for a 10 minute transfer. I had expected to be within walking distance The customer service was well worth the stay however and I would totally recommend based on the staff alone
We enjoyed our stay, the staff were lovely and the pool area was beautiful.
However, we booked this hotel expecting it to be in close proximity to Imerovegli and overlooking the Caldera view that Imerovegli is renowned for. It’s actually the other side of the mountain overlooking the East coast and a good 20minute hike up a very steep hill to get to the Caldera side.
It’s very much in the middle of nowhere which means a small trek to get to the nearest bus station on a main road which is rather sketchy to walk by. Also be warned that the Oia-Fira bus route is a loop so you need to hike to the right main road for the direction you intend to travel.
All in all a very nice hotel, although for the price we were expecting a bit more quality in terms of breakfast and general service and it’s not practical if you intend to visit the sites during your stay
It’s was a great experience away from busy area but it’s very difficult to get to fira or oia if you don’t have a vehicle.Besides everything in hotel was great not too many rooms so it’s very quiet and relaxing.
Nice hotel on the hillside. A bit isolated and hard to drive up the slope.
The property is ideally located between Fira and oia.
It is brand new the villas are amazing all with sea view.
The staff are amazing we were able to get an upgrade on our second day as well to a bigger unit with a private indoor jackuzi and pool. Its reasonably priced looking at the area and villas.
Ideal for honeymooners.
Would definetly recommend anyone to stay at oyster luxury.
They arranged our pickup, our ATV rental and dinner reservations along side many other things.
Loved our stay and would be back for sure
This property is something right out of a dream. The rooms are beautiful, the views are stunning, and all of the workers are very friendly!
Cute new hotel, nice outside area in front of each room. Staff is accommodating. My only hiccup was that it said heated pool and in California that means 90 degrees and they set it to 82 which doesn’t feel warm at night since body temperature is higher, this rendered the pool useless and was pretty much the only reason I booked this hotel. I would recommend turning up that heater if that is going to be advertised.
The staff was amazing and kind. They took the time to explain the area and provide recommendations as it was our first time in Santorini. The rooms were exceptionally clean and we exactly as described. If given the chance to visit again, we would and would also recommend to others
Can not fault oyster at all staff go above and beyond you needs. It is immaculate and would 100% recommend it to anyone going to Santorini
