Blue Hotel Fagrilundur - On The Golden Circle

Ideal location after seeing Golden circle stops and then heading to south coast. Can walk to famous tomato restaurant. Staff friendly and accommodating. Thank you!

The hotel room was nice and the location was ideal when you’re traveling on the golden circle. I enjoyed the hot tub as well.

Easy check in, big room, great breakfast, friendly staff, awesome fish and chips place across the street. Convenient to golden circle.

I really enjoyed my time, stayed on the hot tub until closed at 9:30 only thing it was really dark there they should put a small light at least

This location was very comfortable, spacious and had lots of details! The hot tubs were nice along with the robe and slippers that were provided. The free hot chocolate/coffee was a nice touch and the breakfast was really good! I would stay here again.

This was a good location on the Golden Circle in a very walkable distance to Fridheimar tomato farm, which is a must-visit. The hotel has a nice breakfast with eggs, pancakes, toast, yogurt, bacon, and coffee or tea. We were without electricity for a few hours, through no fault of the hotel. It did not affect us much, as it was in times when people would typically be asleep. There was a coffee machine with two instant coffee packets to get you started in the morning. There were also 2 towels and 2 hand towels for the two of us, but no washcloths. The room was tight, but workable. It was clean. There were also two hot tubs that were open, but not 24/7. There was nice original artwork throughout the hotel.

Room had all we needed except proper mugs. Paper cups are ok but prefer the real thing. It was good to have a fridge to put a few bits in.
Bathroom was very nice, loved the shower.
We enjoyed the hot tub.
Breakfast was very filling & the lady there was very polite.

This was our fave stay in Iceland. Rustic feel. Hot tubs were great. Mika across the street was amazing. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was yummy!! Clean rooms. Very cozy.

Good basic accommodation for exploring the Golden Circle area. Good location

My husband and I stayed here for one night. It was directly on our route, so it was very convenient. It was also located next to Fridheimar tomato greenhouses and restaurants. We weren't able to get reservations in the greenhouse, but we did go to the wine bar and have the tomato soup for dinner. Very nice & convenient!

The room was spacious, though a bit dated. It had a fan in it which was great as we stayed in the summer. The breakfast was very nice as well. We would stay here again.

Stayed for one night, was perfect! Breakfast was good. Hotel was cute and cozy.

Lovely hotel in close proximity to all the major golden circle attractions.

Very nice staff with a there to help attitude. Were happy to chat. Has hot tubs. Rooms are quiet spacious, clean. Showers were lovely and hot. Breakfest was lovely with lots of options

Basic utilitarian hotel with a good breakfast.
Line up for morning coffee was a mild annoyance but more than made up for by the breakfast.
Room was basic, clean and comfortable. No frills save the bath robes and slippers.
Location was excellent for a multi day visit to the golden circle. Our stay included some vouchers for the wine bar at the green houses that neighbor the hotel. Well worth a visit.
I would return again when touring the area.

We loved this hotel. There are 2 hot tubs outside which were very enjoyable on a cold day. The room is simple but clean. Breakfast is served in the cabin next to the hotel and it was very good. There aren’t many restaurants around the area so make a reservation at Mika- that may have been the best meal we had in Iceland. They make their own chocolate so get the best chocolate cake you’ve ever had.

Nice property. Very clean and an excellent breakfast. The common spaces were nice, two hot tubs (we did not use them though). Convenient location, would definitely stay there again! Our room was very hot but there was a fan and it was hotter than typical.

Great hotel! Rustic camp feel with great breakfast. Well worth the price..
