The bed wasn't too comfortable
The Gomerino Hotel is a beautiful hotel, in the most perfect location. Excellent coffee at Lot 61 and delicious gelato at Cremilla are just around the corner, plus all the main sites and streets no more than a 10 minute walk away. The property itself is beautifully presented, and the staff so kind and welcoming.

Our air conditioning wasn’t working
Reception very clean and stylish, greeted by a very friendly receptionist. Staff in breakfast room, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast delicious and plenty of it. In perfect location, close to everything.
We were given an ‘upgrade’ to a front room with a balcony. Very happy to start with but as nighttime came, the constant drone of the air conditioning units were above our room on the roof. Also the bathroom fan was continuously on, no isolation switch. We phoned reception at 2am after no sleep. The night porter came up but said there was nothing he could do, we would have to speak to reception in the morning. The receptionist who had upgraded us did act a little naive and acted as if she didn’t know about the noises. I should imagine this happens all the time. We asked to speak to the manager who doesn’t arrive into work until 9am, it was 7am. She said she would change us to a different room and the manager would phone us. Never heard from him/her or saw them. New room was quiet. Avoid room 402!

Well sized and elegant rooms. Decent rooftop pool, well equipped gym. Stand out feature is the friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast crew and the bar men were top notch.
Inner courtyard makes for limited light but you are in historic Valletta
