The decor, the intimacy of the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. The bath in the room was a highlight as was the double shower.
Lack of storage space for clothes if staying for more than a few days in the Cornelius Drebbel room.

Beautiful boutique hotel. A really unique proposition with no bar or restaurant, every effort has been made to make the rooms incredibly comfortable and luxurious - and tempting you out into the winding streets of Amsterdam.
The staff are all incredible, couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful.
Getting up the stairs will take some getting used to, and no bar to relax in is a bit frustrating. But otherwise, just lovely.
What a gem and a treat! Unique and special- this is in a class of its own. I loved the antiquities and specimens. Canal view was delightful and the restoration of this old building is top notch.
There’s no communal dining room or bar. But space is v tight so understandable . And reception gave you drinks in a little courtyard
