Hotel Versalles

was very creepy, the first room the door was not able to lock, so we had to change the room and was not ok not enough towels.

I was disappointed.. Nobody was at the reception when we got there. No hot water and the bathroom was not super clean. Overall not bad but not good.

We we're struggling to find a place to stay and it was getting late and dark so we just rocked up at this hotel and they had a room.
Can't really complain, there was aircon, comfy beds, the room was big and wifi worked. No hot water but I don't think many places in Honduras has hot water.
Breakfast was served to the room at 7.30 am and the receptionist also drove us to the ferry terminal for 100 L which was nice.
Decent like I said for 1 night or 2.

There was a party so people can not sleep because the loud music in the whole hotel! Actually is not a good option to stay in. They didnt even care about all complains we made and didnt gave us the money back!

allways stay here when in ceiba enroute to my house in Utila. friendly staff, great rooms(allways get the same room all the way in back) great security, and the staff will wait on you, and if something you need they don't have they will get it for you. needed to walk to la palapas and sent an armed security man to escort me. not a safe area, but hotel is locked up tight so no problems there.
highly recommend this hotel in ceiba any time. great bar down at the pool.

I stayed in the hotel last month and yes it was kind of noisy but I did understand that its location is in the zona viva, there´re bars and restaurants located around one of these bars had the sound up high but it´s not the hotel fault. Respecting to the hotel itself.. I had a really nice, professional and personalized attention which made me feel very comfortable and that was my first visit there. They have a really competitive rates and everything you could need they found they´re always able to help the customers needs. There could have some details to make it perfect, but, I know nothing is perfect in life so, totally, I will come back there, I had a very comfortable time there and the rooms... I was a personally witness of their cleaness and attentions. You´ll feel like home!

My husband and I were scheduled to stay at the hotel for 4 days. Once we got our room we immediately knew that we were not going to remain there. We would have gone to another hotel but by the time we got there it was 1am and there are no taxis available at that time. Once we got the key to the room the nightmare began. The following is an abbreviated list of what I found: The bathroom was dirty, the sheets were yellowish, the lamp shades had what appeared to be cigarette burns, the walls were dirty, and the supposedly available WIFI was not available. I had to place a T shirt on the bed so I can lay down being that I was so disgusted. The following morning I went to get coffee but there was no sugar. We went on our tour and took one of the towels. When we got back to the hotel we gathered our things and got ready to leave but before that they asked me for the towel! I was gonna return it of course but I got the impression that those were the only towels they had. My goodness!!! I couldnt wait to get out of there. My husband and I have stayed at many hotels and this one is by far the worst hotel we've stayed at. Would never reccomend it to anyone!!!

It's really quite simple - when you pay gringo prices you expect gringo level quality. Hotel Versalles came so close to being excellent. Great room, spotlessly clean, knowledgeble staff and a great swimming pool and bar area.

Unfortunately it's the bar that let them down. Big time. I'd come to the hotel to get a good night's rest after several days of tiring travel, and at first everything looked great. Then the music started. From midday until almost 11pm the bass from the nearby bar blasted in to my room while a family of rich locals got raucously drunk. Repeated requests to the manager for less volume yielded no improvement.

I reluctantly award Versalles a poor rating, on the basis that the fundamental idea of a hotel room is that it allows one to rest as one sees fit. I was unable to do this, and I suspect many other traveller will have a similar experience.

It is a clean place and the rooms are spacious. The bathroom though needs some work. The toilet was leaking and there was not hot shower.
The hotel is located in the "zona viva" -the party area in La Ceiba. When we stayed there on a Friday night guests came back at 2 am and started a party in the pool until 5 am. With the rooms situated around the pool the night was over...
