The decor was lovely. Most of the staff was friendly
After my husband showered, there was 2" of standing water in the shower. We had to get going, so I had to shower in the puddle! Also, the remote control for the tv stopped working late in the night and we couldn't change the channel. We only had on/off and volume control.
Great location and cool design. Gerin at the bar made the best French75. He was awesome.
After multiple calls and requests we could not get housekeeping or service to our room. For what we paid for an executive suite, it was disappointing that we couldn’t get housekeeping at all.
Very friendly and accommodating staff! Excellent food!!!
The rooms are gorgeous! The design is unique and luxurious! We felt like royalty when we stayed. We were treated with courtesy and respect! Best hotel I have ever stayed at!! We will 100% be returning customers! Great Job La Salle staff!!!!
Rooms could use a little TLC in areas. While it had a luxurious feel and was clean, they could use to fix broken drawers and the box that was in the bathroom that held bathroom toiletries was beat up. A little TLC would be an inexpensive and easy way to upkeep the luxurious feel La Salle desires to give its guests.
We were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and design of the hotel, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to fellow travelers. Loved the bathroom (very spacious, wonderful shower), and the small sofa at the end of the bed. Every amenity is provided (safe, fridge, snacks and liquor to purchase, etc.) and the TV is large (although we never really used it). Great shades and curtains to block out morning sun and provide privacy.
Our room faced the courtyard and was quiet, although the room entry door is heavy and loud when closed.
The restaurant is a welcome convenience and the food is good.
In summary, the hotel was one of the nicest we’ve stayed at and the experience exceeded our expectations.
Everyone we encountered, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff, was helpful and pleasant.
Stan and Jeremy set the tone from the moment I arrived. Warm, professional, and genuinely happy to make the stay feel special. The rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully put together, the kind of space where everything is exactly where you need it. The food was flat-out excellent, and Nate at the bar was a standout: knowledgeable, calm, and a true pro. The whole experience felt easy, welcoming, and worth returning to.
Perfect location, lovely property. Close to everything, but felt tucked away and quiet. The valet service, Jeremy, and the entire staff made our stay wonderful. Will definitely be back!
Stayed 2 nights at this "autograph" collection. Street level lobby is bland as primary is on the 21st floor of the building; there were no door persons to direct arrivers to elevators to access the main lobby (absent for a few minutes). Primary lobby area is nicely situated with singular restaurant in adjacent space. Premises look fresh, smart and functional in most respects. Assigned room was of good size - but faced inside of courtyard that required the blinds to be drawn most of the time. Everything in the room worked well, re: temperature control, wifi and lighting. The room was nicely adorned with furnishings that fitted well in the room. Bathroom was of good size - good amenities but water from sink never got hot and was but a trickle - but the shower provided good pressure. Soap dispensers did not work easily - irritating. Room service arrived promptly and the food was good. Breakfast at the singular restaurant was also good - staff were attentive and pleasant.
This was a great hotel. Either new or newly remodeled. Modern, easy and convenient place to stay. Business traveler with high Marriott status and I really enjoyed this spot. It’s fairly simple and basic but a little stepped up with nice bathroom products and amenities, great shower and comfortable bed. The location is very central. I thought the gym was very nice and the breakfast service was also nice with good food options.
The staff is friendly enough; however, they seem slightly understaffed. Our first day our room did not get cleaning service until after 5:00pm and we had to call to remind them. Each time we tried to call the front desk no one answered. The chat option on the Marriott app was fine but they were more delayed than most hotels I’ve stayed at.
As a titanium elite Marriott member the only thing this hotel offers is a daily credit mostly for breakfast but not real other amenities. Overall good stay and would recommend. It’s actually not as easy as one would think to find a good and clean hotel in downtown Chicago, a lot of places are very dated. Not this place. We had a very, very terrible experience with the JW Marriott next door and to move hotels and the Lasalle was very accommodating at 3:00am and really helped us feel more relaxed after a bad sewer issue in our JW room and terrible customer service.
In general Marriott hotels are really going downhill - the rates are completely disproportionate to the quality and level of service. This hotel in particular stands out with how disgusting the rooms were in terms of the sheets and the pillows. Everything had a weird odor, as if someone had played basketball and then attended an outdoor barbecue. I asked twice for new pillow and sheets and it ever happened. The next day I asked twice for my room to serviced, but it never happened. Then of course they try to nickel and dime you for everything with coffee, half and half… stay elsewhere.
Good and friendly service
