My recent stay at the AC Hotel Miami Brickell was extremely disappointing and honestly shocking for a property operating under the Marriott brand.
After checking out, I realized I had accidentally left a sweater in the room — a personal item that had significant value to me. I immediately called the hotel and was told that because it was “after hours,” nobody could help me and I should call back the next morning.
The next day, I called again and spent nearly 40 minutes on the phone being transferred and placed on hold, only to finally receive a cold and dismissive response: “Sorry, we didn’t find anything.”
No investigation. No follow-up. No attempt to help. No accountability.
I fully understand that guests can accidentally leave personal belongings behind. What is unacceptable is the complete lack of customer care, empathy, and professionalism in handling the situation.
For a hotel associated with Marriott, this level of service is simply not acceptable. Lost-and-found situations are exactly the kind of moments where true hospitality standards should become evident — and unfortunately, this hotel completely failed.
Very frustrating experience and certainly not what I expected from a Marriott-branded property. “This experience seriously affected my confidence in Marriott brand standards.”
The hotel was great and but it fell short on providing professional customer service - they billed me twice and had to adjust my final bill. A month later they charge my card claiming its for laundry!! I sent them the final statement showing that it was paid and their front office manager never responded back! Truly unprofessional !
Great location, many amenities close by. Staff were helpful.
Upon check-in at the AC, I was told to check-in on the other side of the building - Element by Marriott - without explanation. I had to ask why when I got to the other desk, there had apparently been a flooding issue on the AC side. Room was very different to that which I booked.

Estacionamento é caro 55 dólares porém Miami é normal esses valores
Have incorrectly charged my card, charged $30 a day for hotel fee which I already paid through booking.com and charged my deposit twice. Emailed the hotel twice and am not receiving any response.
As a Titanium member, I expected a much better experience here—but unfortunately, elite status doesn’t seem to carry much weight at this property.
I’m currently staying here and was told the $15 food & beverage credit can be used toward breakfast. However, it’s important to note this is a nightly credit, not daily—so for a one-night stay, you only get to use it once.
The mandatory Daily Destination Fee includes:
$15 nightly food & beverage credit
“Daily dessert” (which turned out to be a rock-hard cookie at check-in)
Local transport via the hotel’s Tesla (within a 1-mile radius)
Wi-Fi
The website also advertises that Gold members and above receive a daily espresso or cappuccino benefit, but the front desk wasn’t aware of this at all—so either the staff isn’t informed, or the benefit isn’t actually honored. I was scoffed at by the front desk when I enquired about this.
Update after the first night: the train noise across the street is very noticeable—even from the 19th floor. Breakfast is a $25 buffet, and the $15 credit only partially offsets that, so it’s definitely not included.
The location is a strong point—very convenient to the surrounding area—but overall, the lack of meaningful recognition for elite status is disappointing. Unfortunately, I don’t see myself returning to this specific property.
James and the previous person pretty much summed up the hotel. To add, there is a Publix market to get snacks, pop, and liquor within 3 blocks. There is also a bar onsite that we found. I would recommend eating at American social sports bar about 4 blocks away on the river with lots of fancy boats driving by. Ate lunch at Talkin tacos across the street. The tacos were awesome had some kind of good spicy sauce in it. You go to a kiosk to order food which the owner was there to help and pre pay.
Location
Customer Service. The front desk associates were rude, but room service was excellent
The location.
I had paid for breakfast and they didn’t give it. I am still waiting for a response on this non compliance.
