Staff was friendly.. bathroom floor was heated which is always nice and the hotel had Le labo scents which smelled delicious
way too contrived.. food was the worst I’ve had on the whole trip and so expensive .

Parking was expensive
The friendliness of the staff was exceptional.
In the Tides restaurant. We had booked for 8pm. The service was really bad. I kept having to go and find the servers on our section to ask for things. Really dissapointing as the breakfast and lunch in there were excellent and the service great. Im not sure why the evening was so bad. The 3 tables around us all daid the same thing.

Design of the hotel, people working in the hotel are very friendly.
The conditions in the lobby. Too cold. The wind was blowing through the revolving doors. You feel the cold wind in the lobby.

The location
1. The room is too dark with very few lights and all are yellow 2. Most importantly I had an injury at the revolving door . When initially all staff panicked but there was no follow up by the duty manager if I am ok. The revolving door was pushed to fast by the staff where the door hit something and abruptly stopped and my left toe stubbed . It is still very painful . They gave me ice and I ask if I need a doctor they said they can call me a taxi to an and e.
After that no follow up. Left a bad taste with me.

Overly expensive (even by Iceland standards). Standard hotel breakfast buffet for 4 people expect £200.00 total. We went out for breakfast most days and had better quality, fresher food for a fraction of the price, (at premium places like SandHolt). Would strongly suggest if you are booking just book accommodation and go out for food. You are paying a premium for rooms and service and deservedly so, the rooms are beautiful and the service is exemplary, but we didn't want to eat or drink in the hotel as everything felt just too far too expensive, (note we are not averse to spending money on food and ate at Dill one evening and Ox another)!
