We booked this property for 3 nights, but after the first night we decided to leave because we no longer felt safe. Unfortunately, the property refused to offer any compensation.

This is not a place to stay for multiple days. It is essentially a day-trip island. During the day the atmosphere is pleasant, but once the day visitors leave, everything changes. The island becomes almost deserted, the atmosphere turns unsettling, and there were groups of people outside the resort lighting fires and hanging around, which made us feel very uncomfortable and unsafe.

The listing gives the impression that you can explore the surrounding area, but in reality there is very little to do, especially in the evenings. You are effectively stuck inside the resort, and even the staff acknowledged that guests generally should not leave the resort later in the day because of safety concerns. This is essential information that should be made clear before booking.

To make matters worse, the resort has very few rooms, so once the day visitors leave there are hardly any overnight guests. It felt almost empty in the evenings, which only added to the uncomfortable atmosphere.

On top of that, the prices inside the resort are extremely expensive. Since you have virtually no alternatives, you are forced to pay inflated prices for food and drinks.

If you’re looking for a day trip, this island is fine. But I would strongly advise against booking multiple nights unless you are happy to stay inside the resort every evening and pay very high prices. We wish we had known all of this before booking, as we would never have reserved a 3-night stay.

Everything was just perfect. From the facilities; the room, the food and the exceptional service provided by the incredible staff - I could not imagine a better place to stay in Tierra bomba, this stay made my honeymoon extra special. It’s defo the best place I ever stayed at, we will 10000% come back here if we ever come back in the area.
