It’s great value in my honest opinion. It’s great. It’s located in the hood, this can be a culture shock coming from poblado but you are actually safer here than laureles in my opinion. There’s an exito 5 minutes walking. Ubers can take a awhile. And I’m not sure who thought it would be a good idea to have a window that permanently lets in sound.
The Wi-Fi went out as I was working and it cost me 12 million pesos ($3000) within an hour. I basically had no Wi-Fi there for almost a week. This was a two time experience which had not happened in any of my other stays over the last almost two years. But still, when you are trading products expensive option contracts, at the money SPX calls, on the US stock market, Wi-Fi outage is unacceptable.
The only real issue besides the Wi-Fi I have is, the shower drain does not drain the water much while the water is on. And the shower does not always get or stay hot. This seems to be a Colombian issue though (a lot of buildings both airbnbs and hotels, and now my new apartment have this problem, plumbing is an issue in the country). Other than that, I hope prices stay low, this is my secret go to housing whenever gringo prices get ridiculous or whenever I need a place to stay on short notice.
For about 4 million pesos ($1000) per month or $30-32 per day (studio), it’s not bad. Much better than the 10 million I was being asked to pay for a furnished two bedroom and bath apartment before I found a 3 bedroom, 2 bath for 4.5 million
The hotel is in a very noisy neighborhood. We had booked the place for 5 nights but had to check-out after one night because we just couldn't sleep due to loud noises. Also, the water pressure in the hotel is extremely low. It takes a while to just wash the hands in the sink. We asked the hotel manager if we could get a refund for the nights that we did not use and offered to pay for one additional night as a goodwill gesture and she refused.
I would not recommend this place.
Great staff very friendly
