Bizarre
Pros:

C’était super beau et propre. La réceptionniste lors de la réservation était très gentille et accommodante

Cons:

Il n’y avait pas de café dans la chambre. Quand je l’ai mentionné à la réceptionniste elle m’a dit que c’était dans une salle à l’étage, la salle de l’hospitalité. Quand j’ai monté il n’y en avait pas. Je me suis dit qu’il y en aurait le lendemain matin en se levant. Le lendemain, on se rend vers 7:00 dans la salle de l’hospitalité et toujours pas de capsules de café. Pas de réponse à la réception avant 8:00. À 8:00, j’appelle la réception et elle me répond qu’elle venait d’arriver et de préparer le café en bas et qu’elle devait s’occuper des messages etc. Quand je lui ai dit que mon mari pouvait aller en bas les chercher, elle ne voulait pas. Quand mon mari est descendu elle lui a dit qu’elle était en conversation avec son épouse affolée (“frantic”). Très décevant. Je voulais juste aider ou avoir quelques capsules de café. Dommage

Comfortable, well-run downtown hotel with full amenities
Pros:

There was no breakfast. Our room had a kitchen in it (no stove), but there was a burner so we could eat in.
This is an old building, originally constructed in the 1920s. They have added charming touches of decor in the main lobby and hallways to reflect that, but the rooms have been renovated and are great.
The bathroom was large and had a soaker/jet tub. That was an unexpected luxury.

Cons:

My only criticism was that the room could use a few more plugs for the electronics we all carry around.

Worth it!
Pros:

Beautiful hotel in fantastic location. The hotel itself is nice, rooms are beautiful and it’s very clean.

Cons:

Parking is off on the side on an unpaved lot. No lift, so be prepared.

Pros:

We used to like coming here but the cleanness of suite has gone downhill. Musty smell, bed packed out. We were in suite on 2nd floor and bad noise transfer from upstairs people walking. Definitely stay on 3rd floor. It is an older historic building which we used to enjoy but needs updating and better cleaning.

The bed was great. If not for jet lag I would have slept well

Convenient location. Helpful staff

Cons:

Room I was allocated was comfortable, good bed, good shower , but needed some tlc. A broken window, very poor lighting. No proper bedside lighting. Strange furnishings. My booking had to be changed at the last minute so I think I had to be allocated an older room. If it had been my first time at the hotel I wouldn’t have been impressed and probably wouldn’t have returned

Pros:

Lovely historic hotel in downtown Cranbrook! Great sized room and kitchenette. Loved the walk-in shower!

Cons:

Would have been 10/10 with a breakfast included on the restaurant downstairs. As mentioned before, steep stairs - but with a good handrail!

Room was not great
Pros:

Staff and general ambience of the hotel

Cons:

Room was not great. Uncomfortable bed. Flushing from surrounding rooms was not subtle, tub bottom was not nice to look at so I skipped having a shower. I slept and got up at 7 am and left.
