Absolutely superb boutique luxury hotel in a gorgeous quiet part of Amsterdam close to town and right on the edge of a lovely park, which the hotel’s indoor/outdoor cafe spills into. Could not recommend it highly enough.
We stayed at Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits At The Park in Amsterdam for our honeymoon, and truly loved our stay. The location is incredible, and while it may seem a bit further from the city center at first glance, it's actually in a quiet, non-touristy area right off a tram stop that gets you into the city center quickly (~10 min).
The hotel itself is historical and full of character, while the rooms are modern and clean. The rooms are on the smaller side, but well done, with Diptyque amenities that were a nice touch. Each night, turndown service included a small surprise, and it was genuinely fun not knowing what it would be, a hand cream, face cream, a chocolate bar. Little details like that, combined with wonderful service throughout, made our honeymoon feel special. Multiple staff members checked in with us during our stay to see how things were going, and each time we returned to the hotel, someone would ask how our day was. It felt genuinely welcoming.
I was also a bit worried going in about air conditioning, since we were traveling in July, but it was not an issue at all. The rooms stayed comfortably cool the entire stay, which was important to me and gave real peace of mind.
One note for other travelers: we tried to rent bikes through the hotel, and the e-bikes are built for taller riders. My husband had no trouble, but I wasn't able to ride. Worth knowing ahead of time if you're planning to rent bikes, so you can look into alternate arrangements if needed.
Downstairs, Fitz Bar was a real highlight. The mixologists know their craft, and it was a lot of fun to sit at the bar and watch them work.
A wonderful stay with real character. Highly recommend.
Absolutely beautiful hotel, well kept with very helpful, enthusiastic staff. Our garden facing room was beautiful. Location is in quieter area by a park but still very accessible to other areas by tram. Food was also excellent at the hotel restaurant. One of our, if not our favorite hotel stays ever.
An exccellent hotel with amazing staff.
We stayed there for five nights before going on to Maastricht for the Andre Rieu concert. A picnic lunch was included in breakfast on the last day (we did not ask for it).
Our room overlooked the garden and public park at the rear.
Would definitely return if in Amsterdam.
The staff is 11 of 10! Just so attentive and service minded! I’m blown away!
We had a wonderful stay at Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits At The Park. The hotel was situated in a quiet area of town, yet convenient to the center of Amsterdam. Our room was lovely, overlooked a beautiful park, comfortable, and had very good air conditioning. We visited during an epic heat wave and unlike many other properties, Pillows' A/C delivered! The staff was warm and welcoming. The concierge, Stefan, went above and beyond to assist with suggestions and travel planning. We celebrated our anniversary and the staff ensured our visit was most memorable. Our stay at Pillows was truly flawless, from start to finish!
From the moment we arrived to the minute we departed, the service and attention received was exquisite.
This hotel knows how to take care of their guests. You are treated with appreciation and professionalism.
We were exhausted when we arrived and refreshed the next morning.
The entire staff takes care of you.witj grace, kindness, and immediacy. We didn't want to leave.
I give this place my highest rating. It's a must experience when in Amsterdam.
Exceptional service and beautiful room. Continental breakfast was filling. Room amenities were amazing. The hotel was perfect
I have nothing but the most wonderful things to say about this hotel. The building itself is beautiful and there is a peaceful elegance to the rooms, living spaces and the surrounding gardens and park. The hospitality and attentiveness of the staff were exceptional. There was a lovely gift in the room every night with the turn down service and a beautiful book on Amsterdam given to us on our last night. The concierges were extremely helpful in arranging personal tours, restaurants, and jazz cafes. The in house restaurant is on the Michelin guide and I am sure it is on its way to a winning a Michelin star. We have stayed at many 5 star hotels in Europe and this is one of the best. I can’t recommend it enough.

Wonderful hotel. From the greeting the moment we arrived & the relaxed welcoming booking in process. The room was comfortable, breakfast on the terrace was a great start to each day and certainly generously sized. Fitzs bar was a perfect spot to end each evening. What stood out the most though were the staff who without exception made our stay feel like it was a home from home.
It's an amazing hotel; this is our third time staying here.
The staff are always ready to help with anything; they are very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are spacious and have everything you need to make your stay a truly memorable experience.
The breakfast is excellent.
We will definitely return the next time we visit Amsterdam.

This hotel and its staff are fantastic. Their attention to detail and commitment to a positive stay are second to none. If staying in Amsterdam I would recommend staying here.
We stayed at Pillows for a business meeting and the whole team there could not have been more helpful. Their attentiveness, flexibility and communication was absolutely incredible. They made the entire experience so seamless and relaxed. The catering was also of extremely high standard, which the group were so appreciative and complimentary of. Pawel and Britt on the M&E team were amazing, always on hand, and always one step ahead. Consistently made a huge effort to go above and beyond.
Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits at the Park was a lovely stay in Amsterdam, and I am still giving it five stars because everything else was so great. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and comfortable, with excellent bathroom products. Housekeeping occasionally left little treats in the room, which was a very sweet touch.
The location is a bit outside the main tourist areas of Amsterdam, but that did not bother us at all. The walk was flat and easy, and there was a public transportation stop nearby, which made getting around simple. The lobby also had a wonderful scent, which added to the boutique feel of the hotel.
Room service was good, and dinner service was great as well. Overall, the staff and atmosphere made the stay feel polished and comfortable.
The only area I would improve is the complimentary Hilton Honors breakfast. It was good for the first day or two, but after a longer stay, the cheese and lox option became repetitive. My girlfriend is vegetarian and mostly ended up eating cheese and bread, even though the main menu looked much more extensive. A daily breakfast credit or allowance would probably create a better guest experience, reduce waste, and give guests more flexibility.
Despite that small breakfast note, this was absolutely a five-star stay thanks to the beautiful rooms, great service, thoughtful touches, and peaceful location just outside the busiest parts of Amsterdam.
