Cons:

I booked this hotel specifically because of the swimming pool overlooking the caldera, and it was more expensive than any other hotel in the area for that reason. When I arrived, I found the pool sealed with cement, which wasn't mentioned in the booking. I demand compensation for this error.

I would like to begin by saying that the hotel itself is lovely, and I had a good impression of the property. However, unfortunately, my experience with the reception staff, particularly the female receptionist and her husband, was extremely disappointing due to their rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional behavior.

To briefly explain what happened:

I had previously booked a trip through the hotel, which I later cancelled. After I cancelled the trip, I noticed a significant and unpleasant change in the receptionist’s attitude towards me. I was given the impression that her attitude was related to the fact that she would no longer receive a commission from my booking.

During check-out, I asked her to arrange a taxi for me. She told me that she would not put my name on the booking and that she would use another name instead. I questioned her and asked why my name could not be used. She explained that the company had placed a block on my name because I had cancelled a previous trip.

I told her that I have other companies available to me and that there was absolutely no need to use a different name. I also expressed my concern that putting someone else’s name on the booking would be inappropriate and could be considered falsifying information.

At that point, she became extremely argumentative and raised her voice at me. As the situation escalated, I also raised my voice because I felt that I was being treated unfairly and disrespectfully.

Her husband then came into the situation and also began raising his voice at me.

Sehr gut und ruhig gelegen, vorderster Blick auf’s Meer; bequemes Bett; sehr sauber alles; beim Frühstück hat es einfach an nichts gefehlt; sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal;

Cons:

Wegen den Erdbeben im Januar 2025 musste der Pool geschlossen werden: der hat uns tatsächlich gefehlt; dadurch wenig belebt in diesem Bereich (Pool, Bar), allerdings konnte man dadurch dort sehr angenehm in Ruhe lesen oder einfach nur liegen und den Blick genießen. Ein Pool kommt aber wieder und dann kommen wir auch gerne wieder😎

Location. It’s in one of the best Caldera View hotels IMHO if you are looking for one.

Cons:

The 150+ stair steps to get to the property but that’s probably what you can expect in a lot of Caldera View hotels in Oia. Not recommended if you have bad knees and legs.

Très bel emplacement et séjour agréable qui aurait été encore mieux avec la piscine !
Pros:

Le personnel est très agréable et la vues est absolument magnifique !

Cons:

La piscine est fermée ce qui est un gros point noir pour un séjour détente.
Les détails (finitions, petits déjeuners) ne valent pas un 4 étoiles et donc le prix reste au-dessus de la prestation proposée.

La stanza in cui ho soggiornato la prima notte aveva la vasca idra massaggio e ciò ha comportato un rumore terribile durante tutta la notte per il motore interno alla vasca oltre ad un elevato tasso di umidità all’interno della stanza stessa. Fortunatamente per la seconda notte la stanza ci è stat cambiata e tutti e’ andato benissimo

Great location clean (yet small) accommodation. Very pleasant helpful staff.
Pros:

The location was perfect for appreciating all that Santorini has to offer. Great views of the Caldera. The breakfast was very good quality and plentiful. Staff at the property were very helpful and a real asset.

Cons:

The accommodation was quite small and there was no storage space for clothes. There were 6 hooks on the wall and no shelving. This meant having to live out of a suitcase which wasn’t ideal.
Unfortunately there is no swimming pool (which we were told about before our arrival). The outdoor sun deck is lovely with good quality sun loungers and fantastic views but I feel maybe a small water feature would be a great addition to compensate for the lack of pool.
