The smallest hotel in Amsterdam

On n’a pas le sentiment d’être attendu, pas d’accueil de réception réel, vous ouvrez la porte, vous arrivez directement sur l’escalier avec moquette toute tachée qui monte aux chambres.
Notre chambre était moyennement propre, on ressent bien qu’il n’y a pas de gros ménage de réellement fait.
L’ameublement est charmant, mais d’un autre âge, ne pas trop bouger sur les chaises… une armoire, complètement rafistolée sans portes, et un matelas sur un sommier défoncé ; on trouve d’ailleurs sous le sommier le stockage du linge de maison … c’est franchement pas nette.
Le linge de lit froissé et les serviettes dans la salle de bain tachées nous laissent amer.
Beaucoup plus de soins apporté et le tout pourrait faire un hôtel charmant.

How dirty the place was,smoke alarms removed from room, that's illegal,the wardrobe was falling apart,a plastic tube with drugs in it was poked into a hole in the ceiling,stains on furniture and carpet.The carpet leading to our room was stinking with all sorts of stains.
The worst thing was the MICE.
YOU should not be advertising this Ghetto on your website.

1. The property has mice. INSIDE the rooms. See (i) the written notice on the fridge acknowledging “major problems with pests”, and (ii) the mouse trap placed under the fridge. Dust, dirt, food - what more can a rodent wish for? :) He'll claim all buildings in the center have this problem, but the issue is 100% the owner's fault. I stayed in the same area and never experienced anything like this. This is not an “Amsterdam problem”; it is a sanitation and maintenance problem at this property.

2. The property is extremely dirty (photos attached). Stained, used towels; unwashed bathrobes with HAIR on them (disgusting just thinking about it); mold; heavily stained, dirty carpets. Never in my life seen anything like this.

3. The owner, Tim, is polite on the surface; that’s about it :) I tried to resolve this amicably for an entire month before arrival as soon as the mice reviews started appearing. I have a pest phobia (and also expect a clean, safe place when paying a premium price), so I tried to avoid ruining my vacation. Tim refused to acknowledge the issue (again, they have written notices on this). Instead, he blamed the clients and said they can’t use poison anymore “because of animal protection laws from left-wing parties” :)

4. Upon arrival we left after discovering the exact problems mentioned in the reviews. The owner refused to acknowledge any of the sanitation issues, despite photos we sent multiple times through Booking’s messaging system. I had to send around 7 emails because he kept claiming he “didn’t receive anything.” Booking later confirmed the messages and photos were delivered.

5. Booking did nothing beyond offering a 50% refund, which is unacceptable given the conditions. I am currently pursuing remedies outside Booking to recover the money.

Very noisy through the whole night so didn’t get much sleep but I suppose it’s expected in central Amsterdam.

The worst experience.
First of all, the room did not match the photos I saw on Booking. It was dirty everywhere, there were spiders, and the room was located in the basement, something that was not shown in the photos. The bathroom smelled bad, and the tap was broken and leaking.
The worst part was the mouse we saw in the room, as well as the trap that was there.
It is unacceptable that this hotel is offered for rent.

Réservation d'une chambre au prix le plus cher et attribution d'une autre chambre car elle est déjà louée, chambre sale, draps non changés et non propre(tâches, poils)
Manque de lumière, aucun accueil à notre arrivée...
