The location and the friendly staff, especially Amed/Herman and the lady by the of Amila if I got their name correct.

Cons:

The constant power outages at night, the municipality fee charged at the hotel must form part of the booking and not be paid as an afterthought.

Pros:

Le personnel, les chambres, la nourriture et les piscines. Les cocktails également très bons, l’établissement est grand mais les espaces sont grands on se sent comme dans un petit hôtel.

Cons:

Des travaux en cours pour l’extension de l’hôtel qui étaient très bruyants.

Toa Hotel and Spa is excellent value for money. We loved everything about our stay. The staff was attentive but discreet
Pros:

The property is beautiful, modern, airy and clean.

Cons:

The electricity kept tripping but for us, it was not a big deal. The are is an hour away from the main island activities like kayaking, stone town, etc

Ansprechendes Hotel mit großen Defiziten
Pros:

das Essen war sehr gut und auch abwechslungsreich, genügend Liegen am Strand (ein Mitarbeiter namens Biggi hat sich am Strand immer sehr bemüht), freundliches Personal, Pool sauber und auch immer wieder freie Plätze, Zimmergröße sehr gut

Cons:

*) insg 6 Zimmer gebucht, drei davon mit Meerblick gebucht -> bekommen haben wir kein einziges Meerblickzimmer; gezahlt haben wir jedoch 3 Meerblickzimmer und bis jetzt keine adäquate Entschädigung bekommen. Uns wurde (beim Ankommen wurden uns kommentarlos keine Meerblickzimmer gegeben -> als wir urgiert haben, wurde einem Pärchen (2 von 7 Pax) ab dem nächsten Tag ein Meerblickzimmer angeboten .wäre neben dem Generator (sehr laut dort). 5 Personen sind in den Zimmern geblieben, 2 sind am zweiten Tag umgezogen, aber wieder in ein Zimmer ohne Meerblick
*) am ersten Morgen ab 05:00!!!! in der Früh kein Schlaf mehr möglich, da es vom Hotel aus ca. 20 Gästen ermöglicht wurde (Safariausflug) auf der Terrasse des Restaurants zu frühstücken. Ich habe dann umgehend einen Mitarbeiter von der Rezeption (Ali) in unser Zimmer gebeten. Er hat den Lärm bestätigt, aber gesagt, dass er jetzt nichts machen kann und die Managerin vom Hotel nicht da sei. (Zimmer Nr. 68-neben dem Restaurant)
*) abends sehr oft Tische verschieben bis kurz vor Mitternacht oder morgens ab 06:00 in der Früh Geschirrgeräusche sehr laut wahrnehmbar im Zimmer Nr. 68 (die Managerin oder Mitarbeiter sollten mal in diesem Zimmer übernachten und dann sagen, ob sie diese Zimmer buchen würden, wenn sie Urlaub machen wollen - noch dazu hatten wir ja ein Meerblickzimmer und nicht ein Zimmer gebucht, wo die Aussicht in etwa 3 Meter Entfernung eine Wand war!!) . Auch die befreundete Familie (Zimmer darüber) hat immer wieder über laute Geräusche berichtet
*) der Baustellenlärm am Strand war wahrnehmbar (im Hotel werden gerade Arbeiten durchgeführt), aber von der Lautstärke nicht so störend wie die Restaurant-Geräusche im Zimmer
*) Entschädigung vom Hotel vor Ort vom Hotel: wir wurden mit einem Bus zu einem Schildkrötenaquarium geführt, diese Kosten hat das Hotel übernommen. Wir mussten allerdings den Eintritt ins Aquarium zahlen. Insg also mehr fürs Zimmer gezahlt und den Eintritt gezahlt.

PERFEITO PARA IR COM A FAMÍLIA OU CASAL.
Pros:

A localização é numa área que não é turística, mas é TÃO linda quanto. O staff é extremamente acolhedor e solicitos. Eu adorei o meu quarto com varanda, espaço é otimo. O banheiro era excelente e com água quentinha.
Os jantares eram diversificados, algumas noites na praia, outras no salão com música ao vivo, outras noites focavam em frutos do mar. Achei isso excelente!
Eles oferecem atividades também para além da estrutura do hotel. Não é aquele resort GIGANTESCO e particularmente achei bom.
Nós não ficamos em vários hóteis em Zanzibar, até porque estavamos com crianças e idosos e por isso escolhemos um hotel no meio do caminho para as atrações. Foi otimo porque o hotel está ha 1 hora do norte e 1 hora do sul.

Cons:

O WiFi é bastante instável, mas acredito que a ilha toda seja assim. A ilha sofre MUITO com falta de energia, mas o hotel tem gerador.

Pros:

In June, we stayed here for almost three weeks, and from the very first moment, we felt more than welcome. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and atmospheric and a very relaxed atmosphere.

We had a lovely, spacious room. Additionally, there is a beautiful swimming pool. From the pool, you walk in a straight line onto the beach, which is well maintained and has good sunbeds. The beach bar is also very nice.

The food in the restaurant is very good and varied. Meat, fish, pasta, various salads, everything is of high quality. And twice a week there is a bbq on the beach with live music.

But the biggest compliment is definitely for the staff! The guest experience here is truly at an unprecedented level. The entire team does everything to make your stay unforgettable, always with a genuine smile and personal attention. Nothing is too much trouble(Hakuna Matata). Prince and Thea were our favorites in the restaurant. They are so nice! Of course, the rest of the staff also deserves all the praise. From the reception to the restaurant, the bar, housekeeping, and the gardeners: everyone is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and proud of what they do. You can see that reflected in every detail.

Special thanks go to Ester, the Front Office Manager. Her personal involvement really makes all the difference. For instance, she surprised us with a private dinner on the beach, which was an unforgettable experience!

We look back on our holiday with great pleasure!

Wat ons verblijf echt bijzonder maakte, was de uitstekende service. Het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk, gastvrij en altijd bereid om te helpen. We voelden ons vanaf het eerste moment welkom. De medewerkers deden zichtbaar hun best om het ons naar de zin te maken en stonden altijd klaar met een glimlach. Dankzij hun warme ontvangst en professionele houding hebben we enorm genoten van ons verblijf. Zeker een aanrader!

Cons:

Eigenlijk niets. Alleen het weer en de zee waren iets minder, maar daar kan de accommodatie natuurlijk niets aan doen

Lovely modern stay at TOA
Pros:

We stayed here 18 days. It is a very nice accommodation with lots of possibilities. Swimming pool, the sea (when it is high tide) and lovely seats on the beach as well as along the swimming pool.

Dinners are very good. It is on a buffet idea, but there are always freshly made meat/fish from the grill or pastas made in front of you. If you want to eat alla carte, this is also possible, but really not needed.

The personal is great! Big shoutout to all of them!! Our personal favourite was Prince. What a nice guy.
But don’t forget our “Chief” Fadhil. He is the F&B supervisor who organised a private dinner for us at the beach.

When we entered TOA for the first time we met with Ester. We would like to thank her too in particular.

Rooms are cleaned every day.

We had a very nice experience at this hotel.

Cons:

At the time we were there they were finishing the extension of the hotel. This made some sound… but was doable. (As we understood the hotel will almost get twice as big with another huge swimming pool. So that’s good!)

המלון מהמם, נקי מאוד. הצוות מאוד מאוד אדיב, תמיד מחייך, מציע איך אפשר לעזור. יש ארוחות מגוונות, הופעות, ופעמיים בשבוע ארוחות ערב על החוף שזה ממש מגניב. בנוסף שלוש פעמים בשבוע יש בסיום ההופעה הרקדה של האורחים שזה מיוחד וכיף!

Cons:

קצת פחות התחברתי לאוכל בבקרים, אך לעומת זאת ארוחות הערב היו מגוונות וטעימות מאוד.

Incredible hospitality and aesthetic property
Pros:

The property is very beautiful with plants all around the building is very aesthetic looking and well maintained. I like that the property it was gated. It felt very safe and even though the property was small I think the layout was very well planned. They upgraded my room and my room was super big huge windows huge bathroom very comfortable and I had a garden view surrounded by plants and I really enjoyed it. What really made this stay incredible was the Staff I wanna give a special thank you to Esther but there’s other people as well that made my stay amazing I don’t know everybody’s names but I would like to also include Sadoo, the chefs the servers every single person was so sweet the housekeeping was proactive. They remembered my birthday they made me feel special. They were so respectful, every single staff and I really hope that every single staff gets rewarded because they were all incredible. I travelled alone and I did not feel lonely not even one day and this says a lot about the staff in this incredible hotel they helped me arrange tours. They were very quick with everything even when I was having issues they would fix it quickly, for example, when I arrived, the room wasn’t ready so they offered me lunch and everybody just made me feel so comfortable and I really want to say a special thank you.

Cons:

The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the beach but I kinda knew that it was gonna be like this due to the low tide in the area so yes the beach I couldn’t swim and enjoy the beach properly due to the low tide however the beach was still well maintained and it was it was nice to just lay by the beach. Also, the location is a bit tricky there isn’t much to do around the hotel area so if you want to explore more of the island, you need to have a car and it’s pretty expensive but it was okay.

The hotel is very beautiful, perfect for people who want to relax away from the city and also a perfect destination for couples. I liked the dinner at the beach with a live band and also I appreciate a particular lady called Esther at the reception, who was very helpful, responsive and professional in her work. Thank you!
