Not a review person, but this place was a very nice surprise!

Excellent place to stay un Kimberley

It was the coolest place I have stayed in 6 months. The breakfast was unique, bagels and locks, grapes and the best coffee

Breakfast was nice but there was no staff member to help w anything. There was a kid on hia phone in the hallway who it turned out was staff. But its a basic breakfast, so people managed just fine.

Awesome

This is a great property in a refurbished older building executed with noticeable care and an eye for details. I want to give it a 5, but can’t.

5 challenges of the stay:

noisy. Both nights. Noise from the front desk, from the ‘living room’ below us, and from a garage property on the back street. The walls are thin. We were in 204.

The lack of closet in the room

The tub is dangerously slippery when you use body wash. The body wash smells great though.

Since there is no daily room servicing, you need more than the 2 bath towels if you wash your hair like I do

The room was quite small without a place to sit


5 things Larix is exceptional on:

The warmth of the welcome and friendliness of the staff

The bed. Very comfortable!

The complementary snack bar. 2 nights and 5 big cookies… I was developing a ‘habit’

The gracious complimentary continental breakfast in the stunning breakfast room

The decor and cleanliness

We would stay again.

Beautiful boutique style hotel, very comfy and welcoming. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Room was modern and spacious. Complimentary breakfast excellent.

The Larix is simply excellent.

The most beautiful peaceful comfortable hotel! From the community areas to our room! It was perfect! And the staff were so very kind! The coziest little place! We will definitely be returning!!!

Lovely continental breakfast!

Great location right in town. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a nice addition with tea & coffee available throughout the day. Kind of like an upscale BnB!

Corridor to room and room were dark. The room was fairly small but adequate
Breakfast was really good.

Liked the multiple lounge areas. Was very relaxing.

We were travelling with our dog. The hotel and the town were welcoming (this isn’t always the case). The hotel has been upgraded, our room was small but clean, the bed was comfortable . The bathrooms were definitely newly done. Clean white linens! Lots of coffee/tea/drinks/snacks in a common area on the main floor. Continental Breakfast had a good variety of offerings. The hotel used glass and ceramic - no plastic or paper waste. We have already recommended the property to three other std of travellers during our continued trip

This hotel is beautiful…cozy sitting rooms…lovely outdoor area and the room was so comfortable and cozy..will return on our next visit to Kimberley
