Torel Royal Court

This is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in. The property has been converted with love and attention to detail. The staff clearly enjoy working there and share their enthusiasm with the guests. Everyone we met was delighted to have us staying with them. We took their recommendation for dinner both nights and were not disappointed. But the property itself is the real star - the grand staircase, the painted plaster-work across the ceiling, the wood-worked wainscotting - just gorgeous.

So close to the historical area, we could walk everywhere. It was beautifully designed and just had an amazing feel

Wonderful hotel in every aspect. The building is stunning, decorated throughout with a tennis theme, and beautifully renovated to a very high standard - we loved the photography throughout, which detailed the renovation process. Incredibly well situated on the beautiful streets of Guimaraes and the staff are wonderful - as we were enjoying our complimentary drink at the bar, they warned us that where we'd parked our car would be in the middle of a market the next day, so we had time to move it and avoid being towed, which we were very appreciate of! We received a complimentary upgrade to a larger (and very beautiful and luxurious) room and were greeted with a bottle of sparkling and some treats, a lovely surprise. The reception staff also recommended and booked a very nice restaurant for us - really, they were amazing in every way. We would go back to Guimaraes just to stay here!

Aún siendo el hotel precioso y bien situado y la habitación amplia y bonita, debo decir que lo mejor es su personal. Su amabilidad y disposición a ayudar en todo momento es digno de mención.

The historical building is beautifully refurbished and decorated. Excellent service at the reception, bar and breakfast. Parking is courtesy. Location close to the famous squares and restaurants.

Maison ancienne rénovée avec goût

La habitación era preciosa y espaciosa, la cama enorme y muy cómoda. El baño muy bonito y práctico. La ubicación está muy bien, céntrica y muy cerquita había un parking para dejar el coche que nos costó 4€ el día.
El desayuno muy rico y variado.

Large comfortable room in a stylish hotel. Good quality selection for breakfast. Staff were particularly helpful. Good location in town.

La décoration (élégamment inspirée du tennis et de l’enfant du pays, le tennisman Sousa), une chambre des plus spacieuses avec un confort royal (un lit de 2,40), un petit-déjeuner savoureux, un barman qui sait faire des cocktail, un personnel très attentionné, un emplacement idéal à 100m de la vieille ville de Guimaraes…what else ?
J’ai fait pas mal d’hôtel dans ma vie, celui-ci restera dans ma mémoire de par son cachet, pour un prix très convenable par rapport aux autres hôtels de mon roadtrip Porto -Douro en ce mois de mars
