We had a pleasant stay. Hotel is in a great location, near the old center. Breakfast had a good variety to choose from. The staff was very helpful.
The location was great, opposite the beautiful park, but right next to the old town, within easy reach of shops and restaurants. In the main the staff were friendly and very helpful.
Could have done with two comfy chairs in the room rather than one, as a 5* hotel I would have expected it. The bedroom was fine, but the bathroom was cramped, it was awkward getting round the door unless you stepped into the shower. It’s not the hotels fault, but a hotel nearby was having some renovation work and was covered in scaffolding and plastic sheeting was a bit unsightly also a building on the ground floor level was having similar and a pile of rubble with a digger and other debris was there. As we were on the fifth floor we looked over it, but it was a bit noisy. It says the rooms are soundproof, but not from outside noise?? The covers on the chairs on the balcony had seen better days and were coming apart at the seams. Again not really what I expected from a 5* hotel. They also tried to charge us for drinks from the mini bar, which we hadn’t had. The receptionist made me feel as though I wasn’t being honest.
