Beautiful recently built hotel/casino.
Pros:
- casino with two floors of table games and slots. Lots of baccarat tables, roulette, one blackjack table, 3 card poker and others. At the time of my stay there was craps or regular poker.
- friendly staff. All speak Lao and Thai, a few speak English. Language is not a barrier. Brush up on basic Thai.
- nice big clean rooms
- reasonable prices for everything
- free WiFi throughout hotel and casino
- accept credit cards
- decent breakfast buffet till 11;00 am
Cons:
- location is a bit remote. $20 each way from /to airport. Hotel will provide a ride into downtown Vientiane for fee, which is a good option for at least one night if staying a few nights.
- no real bar or lounge yet. They need to expand drink offerings (no vodka or sugar-free beverages, but I imagine that will soon change)
- No ATM on property, but you can find them on the street. The main cash is Thai baht. Stock up before you get to the hotel if you are going to gamble. Kind of strange for a casino not to have an ATM, probably some legal issue. They will change $USD to Thai baht.
