Ein aussergewöhnlicher Ort zum Verweilen.
Pros:

Das Hotel ist sehr geschmackvoll und grosszügig ausgestattet und widerspiegelt in vielen Details in der Lobby und im Restaurant das Depot für Dampflokomotiven.

Pros:

Bra frukost men kanske inte så bra som jag förväntat mig. Mycket fint rum och vacker matsal. Trevlig personal.

Cons:

Det som drar ner betyget var bastun och relaxen- tips är att göra ngt åt ytan utanför fönstren. När hotellet nu ligger så vackert är det synd att inte utsikten från bastun var trevligare.

Großartiges Erlebnis in einem mit viel Liebe gestaltetem und betriebenen Haus.
Pros:

In das Hotel wurde die Ruine des Lockschuppens an der Grenze zwischen Schweden und Norwegen integriert (ca. 1900 für die neu Eisenerzbahnstrecke Kiruna - Narvik errichtet). Der Weinkeller ist die Reparaturgrube unter den Locks. Sehr nettes Personal, dass einem jeden Wunsch ansieht. Essen und Weinkarte - genial!

es fällt einem nichts ein.

Hele oppholdet var fantastisk fra A-Å. Personalet var helt suverene. Fasilitetene var super-flotte. Maten var fantastisk god. Alt var bare en hærlig opplevelse. Hadde ikke lyst til å forlate! Det beste hotelloppholdet vi noensinne har hatt!

Exceptional, except for the lack of AC.
Pros:

Highly professional and service minded personnel. Facility is very beautiful and rooms are in good condition. Food is made on local resources and very interesting. Breakfast amazing.

Our only serious complaint was the temperature in the rooms. There is no AC so we unfortunately barely slept at all. This would only be a problem in the summer though.

It was a perfect holiday and a trip of a lifetime, ticking the box of viewing the Aurora Borealis
Pros:

Excellent staff, great food and an amazing location. Great selection of wines to pair with exquisite food. Easy access to Abisko and Norway and a great location for Aurora hunting.

No comparison in the region re: luxury and lushness - pure bliss!
Pros:

Exceptional service start to finish + setting and facilities to match. Dinner and breakfast experience were both divine. Cocktails were both unique and exquisite.
We were only there 1 night to break up a longer journey, but intend to stay longer next time to enjoy the experiences they offer i.e. skiing, snow mobile excursions etc.
Bonus = best gym I've seen in a hotel.

Cons:

There's a reason I've rated this a 10/10 so take this comment with a grain of salt - but if you're not skiing and want to sleep in, might pay to ask for a room further away from ski-room e.g. you are likely to hear the early risers getting ready for the day.

Beautiful historic building, good value for money for quality
Pros:

Breakfast really nice, fresh simple and perfect. Set menu for dinner was lovely. Sauna and relax area were very nice. Room nice and large and comfortable. Made to feel very welcome.

Cons:

Not having the room temperature on lock so guests can adjust themselves without having to ask would be better. Provide water in rooms. Provide small fridge in rooms. The rooms are a little too dark, the mood lighting is nice but not so practical.

Dining at Niehku was a culinary delight; the menu focused on local ingredients, with dishes that were both hearty and sophisticated. The wine selection was equally impressive, perfectly complementing the meals.

Simply relaxing by the fireplace after a day in the mountain was such a nice experience. What stood out was the personal touch in every aspect, from the bespoke adventures to the warm, home-like atmosphere of the villa.
