A very special experience with the most wonderful staff . Felt like royalty !
Pros:

The most beautiful , peaceful setting in the tea plantations. Staff were super helpful and friendly . House is super spacious . High tea , dinner and breakfast were all exceptional . The manager even organised some beer and wine to be collected in a tuk tuk for us from the local bottle shop. Great value for all the meals and accomodation . A very special stay .

It is a magic place in the middle of tea plantation, old mansion nicely restored and decorated. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. One of the most memorable place in our trip in Sri Lanka

Cons:

The bathrooms only have a bathtub which wasn’t the most convenient. More boardgames in the Billiards Room would be a nice touch too!

(And access was absolutely no problem after the devastating landslides in November 2025 - they’ve done an amazing job at getting everything up and running again - they just need more visitors to come back)

Excellent hotel — small and intimate, with only 8 rooms. It offers a beautiful view where you can truly enjoy peace and quiet. Special thanks to the hotel manager for the warm welcome and for being so helpful. The food was also delicious.

A small inconvenience is that there is a bathtub instead of a shower, but it’s a minor detail.
