Pros:

The room was extremely large. There was few laundry on site. IT was quite.

Cons:

Although the beds were comfortable, there was a lot of very thick pillows which made it difficult to get comfortable. Even removing some. A microwave in the room would hands been nice.

Great value for money close to the Carlsbad beach in a really quiet street, with lots of space!
Pros:

What a lovely, friendly and spacious place, with a charming host! We loved the large guest room, generous walk-in dressing room and comfortable bathroom. A quick walk to the beach and a sunny balcony makes for perfect holiday accommodation.

Pros:

Location was great! Walking distance to beach and restaurants. Having access to beach chairs and towels was a plus.

Cons:

No AC but the window fan and other fans worked well as it cooled down in the evening.

It was all old but never was it dirty
Pros:

It was clean and the fans kept the room sufficiently cooled.

Cons:

The exterior was uninviting.
Some of the stairs were rotting and hazardous. It wasn't actually staffed. The bedding had holes. The room was poorly lit.

Pros: I liked the contactless check-in. All went smoothly. Easy and available free parking. Water and snacks provided in the lobby. Loved the quiet residential location of the hotel, convenient to Carlsbad Village. The inn is quaint and picturesque. The corner room was bright and cozy with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Great shower pressure.
Con: While the room was clean and comfortable, there were many stains on the carpet. The carpet needed to be thoroughly cleaned or replaced. There was a dent in the wall that needs to be repaired. This lapse in maintenance/upkeep doesn’t reflect well on a hotel that has much going for it.
