Service staff is excellent and they are doing utmost, however the facility is dated and old fashioned. Long time draining for the hot water and weak flow. Sewage smell in the bathroom. Dinner food preparation time is way too long

We had a wonderful time. The place was quiet, gorgeous views of the forest and moutains. Rooms were spacious, very clean and tastfully decorated; the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was included and offered a nice selection - although if you got there past 9, some of the choices were gone. Staff was very welcoming. The hotel is a short, enjoyeable walk to the bus stop connecting Poiana Brasov to Old Town Brasov. The bus ride to and from Brasov takes about 20 min and is very convenient.

Casa Viorel is among the first hotels built in Poiana Brasov in the 90s. The location is beautiful, at the edge of the resort, off the bitten track, within a beautiful forest. It used to have horses and it was a real pleasure to have breakfast overlooking the friesian horses running around. There are no horses now and still, the place is nice, with generous rooms. The personnel was very nice also.

This hotel is great, the staff is frendly, always there to help you with the ride to the slops and back (it s 5 minutes away from the cable car). The rooms are big, clean, we were 10 families with more than 12 kids. There is an inside place where they can play ping pong, pool game, or juns hang around. The breakfast is good, and they also made a campfire with marshmallows and hot wine for us. The price related to the place and services is more than decent. We will definately return!

Wonderful location for families, couples and even corporate events. Large garden, big rooms, very nice service, very clean. Excellent food and tasty breakfast. Big parking place. We also took part at a festivity with traditional Romania barbeque and in the evening a big beautiful bon fire. Loved it each and every moment. I really recommend the place.

The location is a little out-of-the-way, in a good sense, if you want an intimate stay in an otherwise bustling mountain resort. The property owns an immense park-like space very suitable for spending time in nature.
The rooms are large and well-furnished, even though the furniture looks a little outdated (still serves its purpose, no problem!)
The restaurant has just kicked-off with a new chef and appears to be developing into an attraction all in itself. I've served breakfast, lunch and dinner on location and I am totally hooked on the food served.
I recommend the place for both business and leisure.

The rooms are large with a great view of the mountains (with balcony) making it possible to work while enjoying the fresh air.
Location has parking for those coming with a car.

Wonderful location for team building event. Large garden for outside activities. Service excellent. Restaurant open and very flexible to our demands great time. Great success. I do recommend the location for both private relaxing week end or team building activities. Well done. Will be back

The location looked a little hard to be found, but you can find it easily on Google Maps or Waze.

The parking place is quite big and accomodating.

Once you arrive, the "horse theme" can be found anywhere.
I almost scared my self, when during breakfast, I saw a couple of horses in the courtyard :-) You can also book a free ride, if you have kids.

Also a big plus for the nice concept of the park / courtyard. If you have kids with you, they will love it, trust me !

The WiFi works just fine.

A minus: they don`t serve anything but breakfast, but for lunch and dinner they guide you to Coliba Haiducilor (also their property), a well known restaurant in the area (2 km away, or 5 minutes with the car)

oh my goodness! if you want to disconnect from the crazy world and connect to God's beauty of nature, then this is the place to be (but turn your phone off😉😄). We came back after 8 years and this place is just as new and clean and beautiful as it was 8 years ago. The gardens at the back of the hotel are amazing to just hang around and take in the beauty of the place. Meanwhile the kids are busy with the horses and ponies and the squirrels that are at the place. The service is absolutely fantastic. Happy people (you can see the boss takes good care of them). Very friendly. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and very fresh. The horse and carriage ride was fun and then it is not a full experience if you do not try the restaurant Coliba Haiducilor, which is owned by the same family and is only 5 mins away by car. we were there for 5 nights qnd didn't want to leave. Absolutely beautiful place.

Visited in October . We had 2 rooms on third floor which offered an amazing vista. The rooms are quite big,clean and they offer free wi-fi.
The breakfast was good . Also this place offers lots of activities. The same owner has also in my opinion the best restaurant in Poiana Braşov ,Coliba Haiducilor ,one of those places that you don’t wanna miss. Great food ,good entertainment and even if it’s busy the waiters are prompt and the food doesn’t take long at all. Will visit again for sure.

It is a very sweet hotel from the outside. But then you arrive and see there's no lift/elevator and you'll have to find a way to take up your luggage till third floor...by stairs, with no help from the hotel staff. Level hard. The breakfast was ok, taking into consideration they open only at 8AM. Staff is no specially sympathetic. But in general, a good stay.

We spent 5 days in this hotel, and are very impressed with all it has to offer. Clean big rooms, nice breakfast, entertainment for kids (zip wire, pony, hiking, play area, BBQ, pool, table tennis to name few). There is a small cozy bar at the reception. Staff are super friendly and accommodating, especially Bogdan who took really good care of us. I had my birthday BBQ there... they provided everything (grill, coal, wood) to make it happen- we did not expect that!
It is situated on a mountain in a calm setting with great weather and amazing hiking trails. Town Poiana is few min walking distance. You must take a cable car to go on top of the mountain to see breathtaking views- we decided to walk back down 10km hike. Nice adventure.
All in all, great place to visit. Without a doubt, go for Casa Viorel if you visit Brasov.

Beautiful place. The double superior room was more than enough for us. Everything was very clean and the bathroom was huge! The view was amazing and the stuff very friendly! A quiet and amazing place! They also have a lounge area with a pool table and a place for kids to play. Very nice!

We have been to Casa Viorel in September 2014 and we got in-love with its beauty, adorable horses, fresh air, silence and excellent staff.
First of all, I would like to mention that we have visited almost all hotels in Poiana Brasov to decide in which one we will stay, but this hotel captured our mind with its location, silence and nature. This hotel as if stays apart from the rest of the world as it is situated high in the mountain above all hotels. The weather was perfect for that time, the room and bathroom was big, clean and nice. From the balcony we enjoyed the pleasant and nice view of the mountains. Also, we have visited their restaurant Coliba Haiducilor and also remained pleased with the food, (we got some misunderstandings with the waiter) but it was okay.
For sure we will come back to this hotel as we got in-love with it :)
