Really nice stay with lovely staff, great food.
Pros:

The breakfast was really good. Generous portions and well presented. The staff were really nice and friendly. The location is very pretty and there’s free car park available. Spacious room.

It was ideal for my needs although my wife is disabled and I’m not sure if they have level access rooms. So we might not
Pros:

Comfy bed. Room fresh and clean. Staff on reception good.

Cons:

There was a bit of intermittent machinery noise out the back - maybe fridges or air con? - which meant it was better to have the room window shut when trying to sleep (although it would have been nicer to keep it open for the breeze)

Comfortable and pleasant stay.
Pros:

Another comfortable stay at the Lovat Arms. The bedroom was of a high standard and the bath was much appreciated to relax after a hot day. The wi-fi worked well and there were no issues connectivity wise. The breakfast was much improved compared to last year. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

Cons:

Perhaps it could be made clearer when dinner is not offered in the evenings.

Das Receptionspersonal war stets freundlich. Aber leider beim Umsetzen unserer Kritik hat es dann nicht geklappt.

Wir mussten uns ein anderes Hotel suchen.

Unser Zimmer war nach der Reinigung jeweils nicht abgeschlossen. Trotz Meldung an der Reception wurde auch am darauffolgenden Tag das Zimmer nicht abgeschlossen.

Die Reinigung war jeweils mässig und das Bett wurde nicht gemacht. Bei der Abreise wurde dann gesagt, dass es nicht gemacht wird wenn Kleider (Pyjama) auf dem Bett liegen. Testverschmutzungen (Haare auf am Wasserhahn, Zahnpastafleck im Waschbecken, diverse Brotkrumen an offensichtlichen Stellen auf dem Teppich) wurden nicht gereinigt.

Das Familienzimmer befindet sich im 2. OG ohne Lift. Gepäck hochtragen oder allenfalls Kinderwagen ist sehr umständlich. Es müssen 2 unterschiedliche Treppen genutzt werden um vom EG in das 1. OG und von dort in das 2. OG zu gelangen.

Das Frühstück war mässig in der Auswahl und Qualität.

Tired, not particularly clean and seriously overpriced for what it is!
Pros:

Well located in Beauly for the finish of the Highland Cross duathlon. Although thin on the ground, the staff that we saw were helpful, in particular the barman who checked us in and offered assistance carrying bags to our room. The cooked breakfast was decent and plentiful in quantity.

Cons:

Seriously overpriced for what it is. Tired rooms in desperate need of refurbishment, compounded by the fact that it wasn't particularly clean (black mould, dusty, stained shower curtain and there had clearly been a leak in the corner of a ceiling). The 'seating area' was an arm chair so close to the bed that you could neither sit in the chair or get in and out of the bed on one side!

The kettle was part full of water with mouldy slime in it - it was replaced promptly on request with an explanation that some guests cook noodles in them. This may be the case, but when paying over £200 a night, I think it is reasonable to expect that these things would be checked and remedied by the housekeeping staff between guests.

It did feel distinctly understaffed, which may explain some of the issues, but ought to be either sorted out or reflected in room rates!

The only complaint (a small 1) was T V was in right place but not wired up had to be put in place in front of window and was a bit low to watch when in bed.

Worst stay ever in anuy hotel.stay away unless you like bedbugs
Pros:

We didn’t like the property because we had an unpleasant experience.

Cons:

Our reservation was mistakenly given to someone else. We had to wait a long time for the woman at the front desk to give us another room. We found a bed bug on the bed sheet and quickly gathered our belongings then left the room. We went to the lobby to report the bed bug discovery, found no one there to help and lights turned off. The hotel is not refunding our money for a room that was not used.
