Last weekend my family and I stayed at the Grand River View Hotel. We had two rooms for two nights. In the middle of the second night, someone tried to use a keycard to get into our room. It woke us up, but we assumed someone just tried the wrong room by mistake. Five minutes later, they tried again... and it opened the door! Even though we had deadbolted it!
I yelled, "Hey!" as loudly as I could, and they ran away. I tried looking in the hall to see who it was, but they had run away.
I called the front desk, and all he could say was, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," but he could not (or would not) tell me what had happened.
I tried checking on my children in their room, but they were sleeping, so they did not answer my knock or my phone call. Not knowing how someone got into our room, and not knowing if our children were safe, we did not sleep much for the rest of the night.
In the morning, I spoke to the manager. Her supervisor reviewed the camera footage, and it was a bellboy and two new guests checking in. The front desk had tried to check them into an occupied room. The key didn't work, and the front desk again gave them a new key... to MY room! (Apparently, keys open the deadbolts, too.) And then rather than apologizing immediately, the bellboy ran away! And apparently the front desk staff knew what happened, since he apologized, but he would not tell me.
I told the supervisor that I expect two things from a hotel room: safety, and a place to sleep. Since I got neither, I suggested that they should not charge me for my room, at least not for that night. Unfortunately, he refused.
The hotel made a huge security mistake. They admitted the fault was entirely their own. And they did nothing to make it up to us.
So, poor security. Poor customer service. I will never go back. You shouldn't either.

Nothing much.
The staff was very courteous. I stayed in an executive king room and it was spotless. The restaurant was great and I had lunch with my friends there. The breakfast buffet with over 30 ice,s was also great
Expect the location, nothing is good about this property.
1. Not at all value for money. A room that is not worth 3000taka, has tariff of 8000 taka.
2. Horrible washroom where flush doesn’t work!
3. Airport pickup/drop per room is 1500taka as per the leaflet kept in the room but charged 2000taka !
4. For early check in it charges half of the room tariff but doesn’t give late checkout for 3hrs!
5. Very poor unhygienic breakfast buffet
6. Per bottle of water, it charges 150taka but you can’t take the bottle out of the room. Basically for filter water they charge 150taka!
7. Rude, impolite staffs and particularly the manager !
Cleanliness, comfortable, good location, beautiful environment.
Room service food price is too high and quality is not much good. Breakfast items were not sufficient and late to refill.

Instead of Deluxe King room we were given a tiny room-416, where everything was set up for one person.
We had to wait long times before checked in. They claimed booking.com was wrong as check in time written @1pm.
