Undoubtedly, the hotel may not boast 5 stars, but through all the renovations over time, it is a very decent, clean, and welcoming hotel where you can stay in any season. I have been coming to this place for 20 years, and if I were to return next time, I would still choose to stay here. Located in the 'center of gravity' of Ouranopolis, near the tower, close to shops of all kinds (including a supermarket, pharmacy, etc.), near the port, and also in proximity to the office issuing permits for entry into Mount Athos.
The living conditions are very good, with rooms overlooking the sea and rooms overlooking the main street. I highly recommend it!

I stayed here the night before and night after my visit to the Holy Mountain. Staff is excellent and very accommodating, they went out of their way to help with laundry and storage. Rooms are excellent with a beautiful view. Absolutely stay here when in Ouranopolis!

We stayed here two nights, one before and one after a pilgrimage to Athos. The icons on the hallway wall were a nice preparation for where we were headed. The room was clean and nicely decorated, lobby area attractive. The beds were comfortable. The only downside was the towels were a bit small. The manager was friendly and helpful, allowing us to leave some bags while we were away and giving us helpful advice about the ferry. It was so refreshing to stay here and cleanup after sweaty hiking on the Holy Mountain. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is great for pilgrims who are planning to spend one night at the hotel and catch the boat the next day for Athos. The hotel has staff, breakfast, and it is centrally located. However, for a stay with a longer duration I think you could find better. The rooms of the hotel are generally small, cramped, and basic but they serve their purpose. The staff is friendly and helpful but there is not always somebody on staff. So, if your a pilgrim looking for a quick stop on the way to Athos the hotel is perfect for you and I highly recommend it. However, for a longer stay there is probably a better hotel in the town or surrounding area.

Another being stayed there and my feelings anf comments still the same and maybe better.A small hotel for short stay on the way to Holy Mountain Athos.People who running this hotel very polite and very helpful.Also they provide wifi this year .Rooms as always very clean and i just want to say a big thnaks to the owners people I dont really know at all but are so friendly to us.

I stayed four nights before and after a visit to Mount Athos and the Monasteries. I don't speak Greek and the staff were very helpful to me making bookings at the Monasteries I wanted to visit.

Another highlight was the filling breakfast with fantastic yoghurt, fresh orange juice and other things to eat.

The hotel felt like home to me.

The hotel has a very good location, right in the middle to "Graphio" where you get the "visa" for the Holy Mountain and pierce, where's the ferry. The property is very comfy, clean with good service and hospital owners. It is perfect for small groups of piligrims who are heading to Holy Mountain.

i staying there every year on my trip to Holy Mountain Athos.Is small hote,l maybe one or two stars, usually one night every time.Is a family hotel running by a lady and her son. Is always fulll because is position is very near the small harbour from where you take the boat for Holy Athos.Thay are polite people and always allowed us to keep our suitcases on their basement untill our return from Athos
