Very clean room. Bed was comfortable, even though slant in ceiling was low and hit my head a couple times.
No where to put luggage, or hang clothes. Shower had nowhere to put soap, or shampoo. Communication was poor, and housekeeping was non-existent. Left a messege for more towels, and that didn’t happen. Room was not cleaned during our stay, even though we did not hang sign “do not service”.
Already wrote to maverick suites. Here reproduced.
I’m sorry to say but several things were simply not acceptable.
Outlets. The bathroom one did not work and could net be rest. Apart front the one in the kitchenette, the all are outdated and very much used. They do not hold the receptacle.
Hot water: it never ever became even really warm and would turn cold after 2-3 min.
TV. Could be turned on but did not connect to the internet or anywhere else. Did not function the whole stay.
I called twice. Was told the first time that somebody would come in 10 min. After 30 min we left. We did get fresh towels after asking.
Great small apartment, conveniently located in downtown. The table was rickety and the towels didn't dry out in a single day even though I hung it up.
Perfectly located in the safe and beautiful beacon hill area. Right around the corner from target and Walgreens but also close to Charles street and the common. The room has cozy, clean, comfortable, and affordable. There were little shampoos and soaps, a few cooking utensils as well as plates and cups and silverware. The floor in the bathroom was heated, fun little extra. Checkout is pretty effortless - I’ve stayed in countless rentals and some require substantial tidying - this property just asked that trash be bagged. I was very happy with our stay there!
One suggestion - extra towels would have been appreciated or just maybe some communication regarding use of the laundry area. That may be on me though, I might not have read the property description thoroughly enough.
Advice for guests: be sure you’re aware you might have to climb three sets of steep and winding stairs. This was not a problem for us, but for older people or people with a lot of luggage, it could make it inaccessible.
Great location
great location and easy to access. cute /quant building and street. good amenities. would have liked a safe and more towels.
Had a 4 night stay at the Maverick Suites on Temple Street. I mainly booked this room to be close to my daughter, who lives a couple of doors down. The room is a bit tight for two people, but my friend & I made it work by sleeping 90 degrees on the double bed to turn it into more of a "short king". Room was very clean, however the one suggestion I would make is to use less of the strong-smelling cleaner (Fabioso?) or a more natural cleaner. Otherwise, the property felt safe and clean. Beautiful hardwood floors, nice bathroom & small kitchen area. Staff is very responsive via TEXT (not by phone). We requested clean towels etc, and they were very accommodating. Temple St. is walkable to many sites you'll want to check out in Boston via a walk or to the Park St T station. I would recommend staying at the Maverick Suites!
Very cozy and centrally located. Satellite tv didn’t work.
Booking and check-in instructions worked well for me, which is important as there is absolutely no staff on site. However, I met three other customers at the same time who desperately tried to get their code. I don't know if this was their or Maverick's fault.
Minor things: the smell of soap was a little too strong when I first arrived. I had to move the bed to open the window. The high table and chairs were OK but not my preference. One night, there wasn’t enough hot water; I was barely able to complete my shower.
The location and property were great. My only complaint is that the water pressure in the shower was painfully extreme. It felt like I imagine a power washer would feel.
Loved how convenient it was to tranportation. As well as the tall ceilings felt very homey and luxurious at the samr time.
No one is here to help. Our tv didnt work so they sent an email. Next day i demanded a person fix it. Still didn't work.
So hot we had to open a window, in the rain, after turning system off.
Fancy walk in shower with economy head so you are cold!
Got to hear neighbors getting it on.
Sheets pulled up, stains.
No naid. No fresh towels, linens, or cleaning. Only took out the trash because we put out the door thing.
RUN! From this place!
4th floor walk up. No hot water. No staff on site. Room had pitched ceiling making getting into bed difficult and out of bed hazardous. Stairs were narrow and rickety.
It was very warm, the heat would not turn off. Otherwise, it was great!
Absolutely LOVED this property. So modern & charming, in a location that’s very walkable to many great attractions in Boston. My only qualm with this location is the lack of parking - we unfortunately spent a lot of extra $$ on parking. However, I’d visit again & not bring my car to avoid this.
Beacon Hill is a good central location and about 30 minutes walk to the Convention Center. There’s a Whole Foods nearby for groceries. My room was small but fine for one person. Check in and out was easy. My only complaint was that there was no way to adjust the fan speed on the climate control and it was noidy but this was not a dealbreaker.
This property is unstaffed, and the entranceway is dark, leaving you fumbling in the dark to try to enter the building using a keypad that takes a few minutes to reset if you make an error. The building is humid, creaky, and poorly sound-insulated. Despite many reminders about quiet hours, loud guests and doors slamming woke me up several times during my stay. The white bedding had a small purple stain on it. My AC unit seemed not to work consistently - too weak one day, then freezing up the next day and dripping water all night (without any staff to inform, I just placed a trash can to collect the water). Overall, not a great stay and not somewhere I would recommend to others. It should be demoted to a 1-star hotel.
The place is nothing more than a coverted, small bedroom, making it very small. No parking whatsoever, can't even pull to the door to unload bags. Next time I'll pay the little extra and get a real hotel room. All check in, room codes, questions need to be done online......hopefully you didn't forget your phone, and have a good data plan.
The stay and location is excellent.
Please make sure the AC is working, I had booked a stay for a night and AC just didn't work and I hardly slept as it was too warm in the room. I had to open the windows.
