Really pleasant stay at this lovely hotel with beautiful views. Food was exceptional.
Pros:

Both dinner & breakfast (buffet style) were excellent - in terms of quality and choice of food and drinks. Really enjoyed the international cuisine. Breads were in particular, exceptional at breakfast.

The roof facilities were very good, and it was the perfect site to view spectacular sunrise - magnificent view in fact.

Also enjoyed the dance performance after dinner. All in all, atmosphere was good in the hotel.

Rooms were very comfortable - well designed with good view of the mountains.

Set next to a tea plantation, morning walk at the back of the hotel was also most convenient and pleasant.

Cons:

On arrival, we were greeted and offered a drink before checking in, a nice gesture, except that the cup offered to me was stained with lipstick... No apology was offered, though another cup was immediately offered.

Room 721 : there was a dark stain on the carpet near the entrance - quite unpleasant to look at and unacceptable for a nice hotel of this calibre.

日落跟日出真的很美，雖然沒有遇到雲海，也是能感受到好空氣，心情很放鬆，美中不足就是深山中，要到老街或是小火車都有一段路程，但不用擔心有接駁車的
Pros:

服務人員很熱情，也很貼心，一直擔心我們五個人沒辦法同桌吃飯，看了很熱情的鄒族表演，很棒的頂樓風景，真的不用走出飯店，一點也不無聊

Cons:

位置也不是飯店的問題，深山中才能感受到乾淨的空氣，才能遠離塵囂

You pay for the modernness and convenience given the location of Alishan, but definitely not value for money.
Pros:

New and convenient option given the location.

Cons:

Over priced for what’s available and offered (i.e. food selection, activities, etc) as it’s relatively a small hotel. More importantly, it seems to focus catering to 2 adult guests per room. Family and friends with an extra adult person cannot share a bed and would need to upgrade to a room with a sofa bed (but the large price increase doesn’t justify the quality in my opinion).
