Awful hotel, please avoid. It's really run down and noisy. I stayed here for work during the hot weather. I was given a room that had no ventilation. Bedroom window opened a bit but the bathroom window was broken and couldn't be opened. No fan in the room. I asked if I coukd move rooms. The only other option was a 4 bed dorm room. It had a patio door but was down a dark corridor and the light didn't work in the room, it was also surrounded by noisy teenagers. I was told they would provide a fan I could use if I went back to the original room. Howerever, when I went to get it just before going to bed they insisted in wanting a £20 cash deposit! Something to do with them having to hire the fans and had an incident of somebody stealing one! Awful service, when they are a seaside hotel and busiest season is the warmer months, guests expect to have a reasonable level of comfort with a fan in the room - especially when the hotel is so run down and you can't even open the windows properly!
I would advise anyone against staying here - especially if you don't want to be woken up at 3am with drunk people shouting just outside your room.
Bylo bardzo glosno po 2300
clean and tidy had fridge for drinks and food downstairs, near beaches and amenities.
smaller room lots of noise
clean near station and beaches, had fridge for food and drink
no air conditioning or fans as very hot
Initially I disliked my room as it had only a bath with no shower attachment and I needed to be able to wash my long hair.
The hotel doesn't offer a shower hose attachment for the taps as the bath wasn't even mixer tap - the lovely lady on reception switched my room for me.
Be mindful of the type of room you book depending on your needs!
I booked last minute . So was lucky to find somewhere. The only thing was it was so hot in the room. But the weather was exceptionally hot as well.
So maybe a fan if optional .
Clean and comfy room, walking distance to Tolcarne beach for swimming/ surfing (best for long boarders/beginners) and next to a viewpoint, lovely staff! Tesco is also a few minutes away and open until 11 which is ideal
The only downside for me was that I went during a heatwave and there was no aircon
The location was good
Disappointing stay overall. The location of Sandy Lodge is fantastic and was definitely one of the highlights, however unfortunately the accommodation itself did not meet expectations, especially considering the price paid per night.
We stayed in a standard room with a private bathroom, which was perfectly fine as we only needed somewhere to sleep, but there were a few issues that made the stay uncomfortable. There was no fridge or mini fridge in the room, which would have been useful for storing drinks or food.
The biggest issue was the noise. The walls and windows were extremely thin, meaning we could hear conversations, movement and noise from neighbouring rooms as well as outside. The floors were also very creaky, and we could hear people walking around in other rooms throughout the day and night. This made it extremely difficult to get a good night’s sleep.
The WiFi connection was also unreliable and kept dropping out. Towards the end of our stay, we also had an issue with the hot water in the shower and sink. We contacted reception and were advised to let the water run for longer as our room was further away from the boiler, however this did not resolve the issue. We were then told maintenance could look into it the following morning. I advised that we were checking out that morning and asked if there were other available rooms where we would use the shower , we were given another room key to use the shower there instead, as that room had an instant water heater and still had hot water. The following morning we were informed the boiler had tripped.
Unfortunately, overall the stay was below what we expected. The location is great, but the lack of soundproofing, unreliable facilities and comfort issues made the experience less enjoyable
Clean ans staff are friendly

Easy to find. Spacious room, clean beds, lovely staff.
They had a lift!! Loved that!
The building in general is quite rundown…every floor board creaked when someone went to the toilet during the night or someone walked down the hallway outside.
The shower was filthy! ( possibly just algae but not pleasant)!
The bathroom was so small you had to sit on an angle on the toilet, and no room to dry or dress. (Bathroom door is a slider and didn’t quite fit. Rather disturbing when using the toilet!
Very hot! And when we opened the window, very noisy. Not the hotels fault, but all part of that package.
I wasn’t prepared for bunk beds! Probably said in the blurb, still……probably wouldn’t have booked if I had known that.
