What a wonderful place, we loved it! Taxiarchi’s was our favourite stay out of a mix of great places we visited on our trip to Kos, Rhodes and Symi.

The property is beautifully kept, colourful and characterful, and a most mystic, stunning view from our spacious room. We loved that we were away from the hustle of Symi port, a beautiful place, but further up in the hills it was quiet charming, with colourful streets to lose yourself in, and enough tavernas / essentials shops nearby.

Frank is an absolute legend, a kind and funny man who you feel like you’ve known for a long time after just 5 minutes. His lovely wife Eva cooks a gorgeous authentic Greek breakfast early every morning, so you can feel the family love and care that goes into making this a wonderful place to stay.

We loved it. It was our favourite part of a very wonderful holiday, the magic of Symi and its people captured our hearts, and I would return to stay at Taxiarchi’s every time. We never really want to go back to places, there’s so much to explore in life! But this is one place we both said we would love to return to.

The hosts, Frank and Eva and their family; the breakfasts, particularly Eva's legendary omelets; the ever changing panoramic view over the mountains and Pedi bay; the vibe of the village and the beauty of Symi harbour, the laid back friendliness of the Locals.
Our second stay at Taxiarchis and it didnt disappoint.

Very friendly family run hotel. Beautiful view down the valley. Excellent breakfast. Frank drove us down to the port which was a great help. Some really nice authentic restaurants and bars on the top of the hill. Room spacious and well appointed with balcony. Recommended!

Frank and his wife are the best hosts, kind, funny. Views from this quiet corner of Horio are spectacular. It's peaceful, yes it's a strenuous walk up or down the 385 steps but apparently there's a bus if you need it.

Our apartment was spotless, spacious with a dreamy terrace to enjoy a sundowner or a nightcap.

Breakfast could feed an army! Fruit, eggs, everything you could want

La camera è spaziosa con piccolo angolo cucina ben fornito.
Camera e bagno molto puliti. Cambio giornaliero.
La struttura è in collina molto tranquilla per chi vuole rilassarsi e dista circa 30 mn a piedi dal porticciolo di Pedi, e per chi volesse recarsi a Symi o fare il giro dell'isola conviene affittare uno scooter.
La colazione è abbondante e punto forte la gentilezza e premura di tutta la famiglia

Ausgesprochen nette Besitzer. Der Besitzer holte uns bei der Ankunft bzw. brachte uns bei der Abreise zur Fähre und zur Bank. Ein wirklich besonderer Service. Wir sagen nochmals DANKE!

Wet very clean. We had a lovely view from a large terrace. Breakfast was excellent- probably the best in the island

I loved its relaxed, chilled atmosphere. Great views down to Pedi bay. This family run place is greatly situated bang between the harbour area and Pedi beach. Don’t be put off by the fact that it is apparently not near the hassle and bustle of the harbour. You can easily get to it on foot which is well worth it! - yes a good walk down the 100s of steps - or using the bus service which is reliable and with the nearest stop very near by. The bus can take you to the harbour or to Pedi beach. Many boat services to take you to other beaches. The best however, is the service provided by the charming ‘Frank’ who runs up and down to and from the harbour collecting and dropping off guests, together with his lovely granddaughter Francesca, wife Eva providing the yummy breakfasts daily and other members of the family making your stay comfortable and happy. A great stay and thank you for making it so! If back in Symi would bot doubt about staying there again.

Το κατάλυμα «Ταξιάρχης» ήταν εξαιρετικό σε όλα! Οι ιδιοκτήτες είναι ιδιαίτερα φιλόξενοι, ευγενικοί και πάντα πρόθυμοι να βοηθήσουν σε ό,τι χρειαστεί.
Ο χώρος είναι προσεγμένος μέχρι την παραμικρή λεπτομέρεια, με έναν πανέμορφο και φροντισμένο κήπο που δημιουργεί αίσθηση ηρεμίας. Τα δωμάτια ήταν πεντακάθαρα, άνετα και επιμελημένα, ενώ η θέα από το μπαλκόνι πραγματικά μαγευτική.
Το πρωινό ξεπέρασε τις προσδοκίες μας, γεμάτο με φρέσκα τοπικά εδέσματα, όλα φτιαγμένα με μεράκι από την ιδιοκτήτρια. Κάθε γεύση έδειχνε φροντίδα και αγάπη για την παράδοση.
Όλα ήταν υπέροχα! Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα σε όποιον θέλει να ζήσει μια αυθεντική και ζεστή εμπειρία φιλοξενίας.

Allt var över förväntan, bra frukost med underbar utsikt. Lantligt och lugnt ställe. En bra bit ifrån hamnen med det gjorde inget. Allt var nära till hands, matställen, supermarket osv.

Der Besitzer holte uns von der Fähre ab, was echt ein großer Luxus war. Alle Mitarbeiter waren super nett und die Aussicht ist ein Traum.
Ich denke gerne an den Aufenthalt zurück.

Superb from being collected from the ferry to being dropped off again 6 days later.
Fabulous, quiet location but easy walk to local tavernas and supermarket. The climb up to the village from the town or the beach was fun but the yellow bus made it easier on lazy days.
Room was superb and comfortable.
Delicious breakfast.
Stunning sunrises over the bay.
I hope to be back one day.

Gezi teknesi ile yaptığımız köy gezileri harika idi.kaldigimiz otel köy icinde idi oysaki iskeleye yakin konum bekliyorduk.isletme sahibi oldukça agresif ve asabi idi.

The location (Chorio) is a village setting with easy access to Yialo, (port) and Pedi for getting to the beaches. It has a tranquil feel and the views are spectacular. Eva, Fratzeskos and Fratzeska kindnesses and hospitality is everything. I will always return here!
