Hotel Liro - Adults Only

We booked 4 nights at Hotel Liro (Adults Only), but left after just one night. This was by far the worst hotel experience we've ever had.

When we arrived at the official check-in time, our room wasn’t ready. No explanation, no drink, no "please wait a moment" – just a rude "not ready yet," figure it out yourself. An hour later, we finally got the room… and that was only the beginning of the nightmare.

As soon as we walked in, it felt like entering a nightclub. Our room was directly under the DJ booth of their new "beach club" – which seems to be the hotel’s main focus now. From 11 AM to 11 PM, the music blasts so loud that the bass literally vibrates through the walls. Relaxation? Impossible.

What they don’t mention on Booking.com: the pool and beach areas are overrun by outsiders who come to party at the beach bar. 75% of the people there aren't even hotel guests, but day visitors. So even at the pool or beach, there’s not a second of peace – just loud music, drunk people, and cigarette butts everywhere.

When we politely asked for a different room (even offering to pay extra) because the situation was unbearable, the manager dismissed us. He literally said: "It’s adults only, and music is allowed – it says so on Booking." Spoiler: it absolutely does not. There is no mention of a beach club under your room or the fact that this place now operates as a party venue.

Also, children from 12 years old are allowed, despite the “adults only” label.

We decided after one night to move to another hotel. During early check-out the hotel staf tried to reach the manager, but he was not available. This is very unprofessional.

For rooms under the bar and on top of the restaurant it can get loud at night with moving chairs and sounds in the kitchen but everything else was excellent

Malheureusement, mais il faut le dire : la propreté de la chambre (cheveux dans la douche à notre arrivée) et mauvaise surprise, pas de café à notre réveil (capsules utilisées des clients précédents encore présentes 🙃). Probablement un oubli. Je l’ai transmis à la réception et ils ont rapidement amené deux capsules mais dommage.

De airco werkte niet super goed en het water van de douche liep niet goed weg.

Value for cost wasn’t good when comparing to other similar accomodation. eg Plush towels instead of thinner ones, water and fruit in the room, complimentary toiletry items for the bathroom and bath robes were missing.

Rooms are very small and bathrooms unhygienic, the umbrellas for the beach also have no personal space, the staff have very unhelpful and rude attitude. 2 days after I had left I saw a charge from them on my card, i phoned them and they accepted the charge should not have happened. However I was never refunded the money! Insane that they feel they can just charge customers like this once they have left the country.

The hotel is really old and the room was like from 70s and not clean at all. Hotel employees were not friendly.

Le point négatif c’était la musique les deux soirs qu’on a dormi à l’hôtel même si pour le samedi soir jusqu’à minuit et l’information c’était affiché à l’entrée de l’hôtel mais pour pas pour le dimanche soir. De plus ils ont démonté la scène en plein nuit qui était vraiment très désagréable voir même impossible de dormir et obligé de le signaler parce que sinon on aurait pas pu dormir de la nuit.

L’accueil est vraiment très insuffisant.

Das Hotel ist nur geeignet für Leute die dort Party machen wollen. Jeden Freitag und Samstag Abend bis 24.00 veranstalten das Hotel auf der Ebene der Bar eine Party mit DJ. Die Musik ist so ohrenbetäubend laut, dass man selbst im eigenen Zimmer sein eigenes Wort kaum versteht. Auch am Pool wir ab Mittag so laut Musik gespielt, dass an Erholung nicht zu denken ist. Auch wird im Pool getrunken und geraucht (es können auch Gäste an und in den Pool die nicht im Hotel wohnen) und man muss achten nicht in Glasscherben zu treten.
Allgemein ist der Service bodenlos schlecht. Die Rezeption ist so gut wie nie besetzt. Auch bei Ankunft und Abreise war diese nicht besetzt. Der Rezeptionist wird dann von Restaurant Mitarbeiter gerufen, weil er sich die meiste Zeit selbst am oder im Pool aufhält und selbst am feiern ist (inklusive Alkohol). Eine richtiges Einchecken war uns nicht möglich. Wir haben nur unsere Zimmerkarte bekommen aber keinerlei Einweisung. Die Zimmer musste man selbst suchen, ebenso die Koffer selbst tragen, was bei über 150 Stufen doch sehr anstrengend ist. Aufzug ist zwar vorhaben, funktioniert aber öfters nicht und auch wenn man den Aufzug nutzen hat man zu den Zimmer trotzdem noch ca.40 Stufen zu überwinden. Der Safe im Zimmer war defekt, ebenso wie die Balkontür (lies sich nicht mehr verriegeln).
Das Angebot beim Frühstück ist überschaubar, wäre aber ok wenn regelmäßig nachgefüllt wird. Leider klappt das aber nicht und wenn dann doch mal zb Rührei nachgefüllt wird, kommt es schon kalt aus der Küche. Eigentlich sollte man ab 8.30 frühstücken können, Brot kommt aber erst gegen 8.45 oder später.
In der Beschreibung steht Privatparkplatz. Das stimmt so nicht. Man soll in einer „Parkhaus“ gegenüber parken. Da dies eher einer Baustelle gleicht und dort auch Leute aus anderen Hotels und Angestellte parken, muss man immer hoffen einen Platz zu bekommen und dann nicht eingeparkt zu werden.

Alot of stairs, elevator was small and outdated. Also didn’t go all the way down to the last 3 floors.
Too expensive, and breakfast was mid.
