Alpvita Piz Tasna

We were warmly welcomed back by the owners and their daughter on arrival, and our prior email request for room 404 again was kindly granted. All the stresses of the long journey from the UK drained away as we were back in our happy place.

Despite checking in very early our room was immediately available. The newly renovated room was stunning in its design, colour co-ordination and attention to detail. Thankfully the complicated light switches had been replaced and you could now dim the lights with ease. I particularly liked the Bluetooth speaker installed in the bathroom.

We ate in the hotel’s restaurant almost every evening and the food was a culinary delight. It was always delivered with friendly kindness and the service was attentive throughout the meal.

We enjoyed drinking every night in the cozy bar, as it was always easy to talk with fellow guests, and of course with the Salner family, who were genuinely hospitable.

As mentioned in my previous review the hotel is in a great location and is immaculately maintained. Once again, the hotel staff were all gracious and happy to assist in any way to make our week long stay so relaxing and enjoyable.

Having stayed twice at both the Brigitte Hotel and Elizabeth Arthotel, and now two times at Piz Tasna, it is our favourite.

The Alpvita Tasna is perfect, this was our 3rd stay, the location is perfect for us 100 meters from the slops, 10 minutes from the Finba lift with 12 minutes to the main high street.

My wife and I stayed here for a week last year and enjoyed it so much we came back for 2 weeks this time.

It’s a beautifully decorated hotel run by a lovely family who have thought things through so carefully that everything is just perfect. The hotel is located in a nice quiet spot, but is only a 5 minutes walk to the restaurants, shops and a nearby gondola station to take you up the mountain.

Our room was fantastic, having been recently refurbished, had a mountain view and was serviced meticulously every day by the friendly and professional room service team.

The entire front of house team was fantastic too (Michelle, Kimberley, Petra, Pauline, Anna & Jonny) - so friendly and welcoming - and we felt really well looked after the whole time we were there. It’s so nice to return to a hotel and see familiar, friendly faces.

Breakfasts, afternoon snacks and dinners were wonderful and it was a joy to spend some of our non-skiing time relaxing here and enjoying the thoughtfully prepared and presented dishes.

After skiing, we loved popping into the steam room or sauna and chilling out with a refreshing drink in the spa area. Michelle even arranged back/neck massages for us for our last day to help us loosen up before travelling home the next day.

A huge and heartfelt thanks to everyone and we’re already looking forward to returning next year.

Uns hat einfach alles an der Unterkunft sehr gut gefallen. Das gesamte Personal war sehr herzlich und freundlich. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen war hervorragend. Hier fühlt man sich einfach willkommen! Auch unsere versehentliche Fehlbuchung (das Alter unserer Tochter war mit 1 statt 10Jahren gebucht) war überhaupt kein Problem und das Hotel verzichtete sogar auf die Mehrkosten ❤️ So etwas findet man heutzutage leider nicht mehr sehr oft! Wir können diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen!

Fantastic food.

This was our fifth time in Ischgl, so we like it a lot. Normally it’s just my wife and me, but this time our son, daughter and son-in-law were able to join us. To be skiing all together again after a 20 year gap was very special.

The Alpvita turned out to be an ideal choice because our son was staying in an adjacent hotel, and our B&B board basis suited my daughter and SIL.

We booked through Crystal ten months in advance to secure the date and a very early flight out of Gatwick. Crystal however, much to my anger, changed our flight to an afternoon one at short notice. We therefore didn’t reach the hotel until 8 pm and our request for dinner despite the restaurant finishing at 7.30 pm was kindly accepted. First impressions of the hotel and staff were very positive as a result.

Our fourth floor balcony room had an excellent view overlooking the town below and we were very pleased not to be disturbed in the early hours by drunk loud people passing below us, unlike the experiences we had in the Elizabeth Arthotel two years running!

With its quiet location, and just a five minute walk to the Fimba gondola, the Alpvita was a delight to stay in. Our room, the bar, lounge, and restaurant were tastefully furnished and decorated, with no signs of wear. The restaurant had a cosy ambience with lit candles situated everywhere. On the two nights we ate in the food and service was excellent. We were impressed that the hotel was keen to cater for my daughter’s gluten free requirements. Breakfast bread rolls would be left out separately for her each morning. Very considerate.

Lastly, and most importantly, we found all the staff to be extremely friendly, accommodating and kind. It would be unfair to single anyone out as they were all excellent and appeared very happy in their work. It was also a pleasure to meet and see the owners, Hr and Fr Salner regularly around the hotel and we hope to return to their beautiful hotel next year.
