Fantastisch!!

Super, netter Gastgeber. Leider spät gebucht , deswegen teuer. Aber da kann das Hotel Nixdafpr 😉

Der Inhaber ist super lieb. Am besten sind die Hunde. Ein wunderschöner flat coated, wohl erzogen . Wir kommen gerne wieder. PS: falls jemand keine Hunde mag, sie sind eh nur auf Wunsch anwesend 😀

4-Star luxury at 3-star pricing!
Pros:

The hotel is situated just right with a busstation, the cars going up the mountain and even a great souvernirshop right beside it. The interior is very beautiful with a lot of woodwork, a fireplace and some nice warm lighting. A little bit of modern flare mixed with a lot of rustic Austrian furniture and styling throughout.

The staff were all very nice, their service was first class and they took the time to speak English because my German was way too bad.
Even though I arrived between 10 and 11 am they had my Jokercard and Mobility ticket ready! These two free passes are amazing and make hiking the mountains in the summer a treat for anyone and everyone.

A royal breakfast every morning and a welness area with three sauna's for relaxation after long mountain hikes were amazing!
The breakfast included all types of delicious breads, sliced meats, cheeses, fruits, yoghurts, scrambled eggs, bacon and a lot more for everyone to enjoy! The welness area can be used every day in the afternoon, is large enough that everyone has space in the common area and also the sauna's not ever feeling crowded.
Hope you don't mind nudity though because they keep to their customs not allowing bathing suits! A plus in my mind though.

The single room I had booked is on the 4th floor and has an amazing view of Hinterglemm and the sunrise between the mountains. Besides all the extra services like washing clothes, cleaning shoes and a great shower they are also working together with another company to better the planet. You can choose to not have your room cleaned when not needed which saves a lot of water, cleaning products and ofcourse energy washing towels, cleaning the room, etc.

All this and a fairly cheap pricetag made my stay at Der Gollinger a real treat and I am looking forward to my next stay!
