Hotel Schladmingerhof

If I had written this after first 6 days I would have gives it a 9 out of 10. The staff were great especially at meal times . The evening meal was great with 3 choices . The deserts could do with a little more imagination .
After 6 days all I would have said to help future booking was get another toaster. Two plugs so you may as well use them especially as the one toaster was so slow .
Then on last day and leaving day it just seemed to change as if your leaving we are now looking forward to our new guests .
We went skiing on last day as not picked up till two . Lady at desk( who I don’t think we had previously seen ) couldn’t have helped me less if she tried . She just flapped around achieving absolutely nothing and made sure door to restaurant was fully closed
A full bus arrived and treat like royalty even though apparently they had arrived very early . We stored our stuff where allocated but told to move .Nowhere to get showered and no where to get changed . You are left with a tiny area to sit in as bags everywhere and they annoyingly closed off all of restaurant seating leaving only 5 chairs .
I would have come back if you had asked me Thursday but the lady from Saturday morning changed that .

Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal

Von der Begrüßung bis zum Frühstück bzw. Checkout hat alles 100% gepasst. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer und die Ausstattung sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder

Frühstück, Personal, Zimmer waren top. In ca. 15-20 min ist man zu Fuß bei der Planai Talstation bzw. fährt der Bus auch direkt vor dem Hotel ab. Zimmer sind makellos sauber. Aussicht direkt aufs Skigebiet.

As part of an Evesham Rambling Club Walking holiday, I had an excellent stay at the Schladmingerhof. The hotel had a pleasant, relaxed feel. All the staff were most welcoming but special thanks must go out to Wolfgang, Dora and Renate, who took such good care of us. My room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The location was ideal. The outside terrace, overlooking the mountains across the valley made for an excellent place to sip a cold beer and relax before dinner. The buffet breakfast was more than ample, with a wide choice and met all my needs. A fixed dinner menu, consisting of a choice of soups, a salad buffet and a pre-ordered main runs in the evening. This was ideal for our large party, ensuring we could all dine as one. A local bus stops directly outside the hotel and takes you into the town centre, linking with other buses to all locations. I can highly recommend this hotel for walking club holidays.

We stayed at Schladmingerhof for 9 days with Evesham Rambling Club . We found the hotel excellent. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the room comfortable and clean . The location of the hotel is very convenient, with the bus stop directly outside and just a short stroll to the centre of town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend it to others

Comfortable & clean. Efficient staff although some didn't speak English. Dinner time was a little too early (finishes 7:30) then everyone seems to go straight to bed. Bar is under-utilised, no encouragement by staff to have a drink in the bar. Dinner was tasty enough but most desserts were very simple, berries and cheap ice cream, fruit and ice cream, yoghurt and jam. I received the wrong main course 1 night.
Breakfast was limited, no pastries, only tinned fruit, boiled eggs were the only hot option and if you were after 8:30 the buffet wasn't replenished.
I was abandoned by Crystal as I was the only British guest so they wouldn't come to see me. I had to walk a mile into town every night if I wanted to see the reps or any other British guests.
Overall a disappointing experience for me but if you like a quiet peaceful stay and like going to bed at 8pm this may be suitable for others.
